I want to make as many international pairings as possible and at least pair up people from different states of the US if people are reluctant to go international or if there just aren't enough intl people to share to the US people. :P

Ooh, I would love to do this! I would definitely want to have an international partner if possible! I have always wanted to try candy I've never heard of or can't pronounce from another part of the world!

Ooooh, I'd be into this! There are five different cultural districts I can name off the top of my head near me so my partner can expect lots of things with labels they can't understand.

This is exactly what I'm talking about! I love to try new things! This swap would be right up my alley!

To get some more interest going/discussion, how about we talk about our favourite sweets?

For me, I love dagashi! (they are traditional candies from japan) my favourite is konpeito (The little star-like candies the sutsuwari like to eat from the movie "Spirited Away")

What, those are actually real candy?? *gobsmacked*

Judging on this days posts I think there is enough interest to make this happen. I'll try to write the rules post within the next two days and then ask for a mod approval. :)

Konpeito is great. The pony I rode in high school liked them too.

I love Almond Joy and milk chocolate with caramel. Oh, and chocolate oranges and mango Hichew. Basically any coconut, milk chocolate, and caramel thing I'll eat. (Unless it's mint or dark chocolate, not a big fan.)

For me, I love dagashi and other japanese sweets! my favourites are konpeito

Fun fact: Konpeito are actually Portuguese in origin! The name comes from the Japanese pronunciation of the Portuguese name, "confeito", and Luís Fróis presented Nobunaga with a large jar of it as a present to gain permission to teach Christianity in Japan.

I want to join this swap! Many of my favourite candies are the German ones I ate as a kid. Sadly Kinder Eggs are illegal in the USA, but there's plenty of others I love. ♥
