CONFIRMED SCAM! Member Scamming Through Ebay!

Um, wasn't there a scammer a LONG time ago who sold a picture of a pony the same way?  Any known connection?

I don't know, but I've seen the "I'm selling a picture of the item, not the item!" scam several times on ebay and Etsy. It's not a unique idea. I think last time I heard about it, someone was auctioning a picture of an xbox or something.

Has anyone got an idea, of this womans username via eBay - so I can block her as a buyer! After reading all these previous experiances and 'claims' that she's making about cancer and what not.. I don't perticually want to sell any of my ponies to her! Dx

Apparently she has a couple of eBay names and ponts of access to use them. I think a few of her names are mentioned earier in the thread, but it won't stop her from cooking up a new one or using one that's been dormant a while :/

I believe she uses the same one but changes it back and forth. She also goes as Mary (edited for personal reasons). Which is either her name or close to it.

While I understand everyone's confusion and frustration here, the Mod Team has handled the situation. There is no reason to question our decisions or ask for information leading to our decision.  We do not make decisions in haste, nor ban people without probable cause. We also do not always let our resources be known on how we "figure" someone out, it would defeat the purpose.

We also do not allow first and last names to be listed for any reason, please remember this. Thank you!

That MaryB---- name was what she had used previously as her eBay user name. That is why I posted it.

I honestly don't know whether or not if that's her real name. She told me she stopped using it because it was close to her real name.

Edit: Looking at the list the ebay name I mentioned was not her personal name. But it was close and she had used it previously.

The one that originally sent a picture of a pony was Lexi - and she was QUITE a number - right up there with this gal, techno.  *rolls eyes*

Wow, this is so aweful  is so terrible when people lie about health problems to get things or use them to take advantage

Is like the issue in the Disney Parks, where people were faking  just to skip wait lines,  then people who do have real problems later have a hard time  because of the fakers rude  behaviours or them taking things first (like a place in a bus or wheelchair parkings)

Merciful heavens, my head is officially spinning. I... I can't comprehend how someone can do things like this. I lost my grandfather to emphasema, the pain was unbearable. Even now, when I see someone smoking I want to throw a bucket of water in their face and tell them the suffering he went through.... to lie about a child suffering that way just to con someone... it's hideous! And it's not that she's haggling.... she's been trying to out-and-out cheat people, offering disgustingly low prices and it's wrong. I just can't understand why people do this...it half makes me sick to my stomach, half want to just cry.

I wanted to bring to attention she does have some ponies on eBay right now. I contacted her without even realizing it to ask about the condition of a pony only to realize it was this technopon-e... so, be aware that there is at least one decent looking group of ponies for auction...

I don't know if that's something that people care about, I just wanted to let people know because I... almost missed it myself...

Apologies for randomly appearing while I seldomly post around these parts, but I read about the Mimic picture scam on Tumblr, and I thought that was a terrible thing to do. Now I know the whole story it's even more sickening. Just... I don't understand why people would stoop so low.
