This is how I cleaned my So Softs (you can see the other 3 I've done in my sig thread). Can't guarantee it will work for you, but I used this method for all 4 of mine:I sprayed them with Arm & Hammer Pet Stain & Odour Remover (it has OxyClean in it) and gently massaged it in to the flocking with an old toothbrush. Then let sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing. Did this twice for each. Then shampooed their bodies, manes and tails. Rinsed. Then slathered on conditioner on their bodies, manes and tails. Waited a few minutes before combing the conditioner through their manes and tails, then left it on their bodies and hair for about 10 more minutes. Then rinsed and styled their hair.I used the Arm & Hammer Pet Stain & Odour Remover because we had it and I was too lazy to go to the store just for OxyClean LOL But you may get the same results with just OxyClean.
Oh, I am *loving* this thread!! I've got so many ponies who need restoration, but beyond the basics (scrub and condition), I'm nervous about attempting it. This is great inspiration!
Shadowlark, I'm impressed with how white you can get your ponies! I have a Moondancer who needs whitening, but I'm terrified of fading her hair. I know covering the hair with foil is supposed to help. Is that all you did?
