Also PKW...I checked my notes when I got home. You were right they were originally sold by someone in Massachusetts [close enough to Rhode Island...maybe?]. The seller claimed they had picked them up at a yard sale. I was remembering that the original lot with these ponies had a piggy in it as well [??!!!] and that was why I was thinking it was a UK sale.
