Hi There!

I'm David.  I've been a pony fan for just over a year now. I met a woman at an anime gathering, we got to talking and she was *so* into Rainbow Dash that I thought I'd give Friendship is Magic a try myself. I was hooked! My first MLP was the custom blank that they sell on Amazon, I haven't started her yet but I'm planning a Pony version of my favorite anime character, Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier. Since then, I've bought lots of MLP:FiM stuff: Blind Bags, Brushables, Talking Ponies, and Plush. My Mom just grabbed the Funrise Princess Cadance for me last Friday. My favorite ponies are Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Cadance, and Spitfire.

Besides Ponies and anime, I'm a Trekkie, and I love to read about military history and technology. I also like to build scale models and play and paint miniature wargame figures. I love '80s toys and cartoons like GI Joe and Jem, and I collect some fashion dolls like Jem and Barbie as well. I've been learning to cook, and I've gotten to be pretty good with Tex-Mex dishes. I'm disabled/retired.

It sounds like you have a long history of collecting (like many of us here!) and it's great you have discovered ponies!    My mother and brother are both huge Trekkie fans and I'm sure we have some other collectors of them here too.  I hope you enjoy the forums and getting to know everyone
