A little girl has lost her bear, anyone recognize his maker?

My brother's girlfriend's niece has lost her favourite teddy bear, and I can't for the life of me figure out his maker :\ does anyone recognize him? The big nose makes me think Gund, but I'm not sure D: I'm not holding out much hope because he looks like something from a gift or souvenir shop, but if anyone does recognize this guy and knows his maker, I'd appreciate any help Thanks

He might be a Buildabear--maybe some incarnation of the curly teddy? They might have something similar!

Isn't it fun? I do know my plush in general but teddy bears are in a category all their own, I'm not as familiar with them in particular. I really hope similar will be good enough! Maybe we can pass that BAB one off as a cousin...

If it is from Build-A-Bear they actually have a system that lets you find a toy if it's lost. When you buy an item they have a tear off part of the tag that goes in the back before they close it up, then the fabric tag has a bit asking anyone who finds it to take it to the nearest Build-A-Bear and they'll be able to send it to the location nearest your address and contact you to tell you they found your toy.


I've been collecting the Pony dolls they have and did a research project on it for one of my classes (not to mention have been trying to get a job there), so I know a lot about how it works

More good suggestions and confirmations that he looks BAB pouring in- perfect! This is going to make him much more easier to find. Thanks for reminding me about that, Motion-Paradox. I'd never been to a BAB before the ponies came out, so Rainbow Dash and Pinkie were my first experience. The lady helping me that day told me all about that program, and they have some amazing success stories! If anyone does find him and sees the little BAB heart tag, I hope they know about the program and undo the ladder stitch to get his little barcode. If not, hopefully the "this is your teddy bears cousin!" route will work ;^^ I'll keep at the hunt, I'm very grateful for the responses everyone there's no bigger bummer to a child than losing your best toy/pal ;__;

I hope he turns up.  I would of been devastated when I was little if I lost my bear.  He's the 1985 Kmart Christmas bear and he still sits on my bed.  Also check out stuffedanimals.com maybe they have something similar.  I got my niece her first bear there.  They had a ton!
