Beanie Babies--am I the only one?

Ok, I'm making myself sound really cheesy, but does anyone else still collect beanie babies?

I rediscovered them recently...sigh.

Not actively collecting, but I still have a good 125-150 or so in tubs (I did just get rid of a bunch I didn't really care about, bought in the "frenzy" so to speak).  I break out the Christmas/Holiday ones to decorate with during that season, and if I were to pursue more if would be the Christmas/Holiday ones I'm missing

If you're looking for any specifically, drop me a PM - I don't have anything rare, but I can always check for them.  Some I'm not willing to part with but others I may...have been thinking about culling more anyways.

Butch & Bruno (bull terriers)
Happy, Tumba, Slim, & Hugamus (hippos)
Slowpoke (sloth)
Chocolate (moose)

Which animals are you collecting?

I still have my collection and I still pick up Guinea Pigs and Hamsters and sometimes other neat animals if I see them.

I have a few cat ones. When my youngest cat was a baby, I bought a bed for her and put a few of them in the bed so she would have snuggle buddies. Ailee is all grown up now, but I'm going to keep my beanie kitties for the next baby (or babies) I get one day.

Am getting back replacements from my childhood collection but have picked up the odd extra one I like along the way

Not actively collecting but we still have ours. It's one of those things where at the time we spent so much money on them if we sold them could never get it back, so they just live in the tubs.

I found a couple at a thrift store I still keep an eye out for the older ones. I even have a old collectors book lol. Earlier this year I got back into it and then I stopped again. They are just sooo cute!!

I still have all of mine, about 40 I think. Don't collect anymore though.

Like others, I used to collect them, but have stopped doing it a while ago.  Got rid of most of the collection a couple years back and is thinking of culling it down even more to make space.  I still have my first ever beanie baby: Bessie the cow and have no plans to get rid of her.

oooooh snap. I remember the lines at Hallmarks, the fighting, the "retired" the "these toys will pay for my college" I remember it all. We were totally into it (all six of my brothers and sisters) my parents gave in and bought them for us. We grew up, grew out of them but we still have them around. We all seem to have a few still though that we cling to very closely. 

And not gonna lie, I found a Radar the bat at a thrift shop last year and felt that childhood excitement again. (yes I scooped him up)

Right now I'm collecting mostly bears.  And it's more the unique looking ones. lol  I love the ones that have patterns.  Oh, and I'd like to get the UK exclusives.

I know the feeling!  I could kick myself for giving them all away!  Just like when I hit my teens my mom and I gave all my ponies away and now look at me... Hehe...

I remember my mom getting upset with me for taking the tags off or opening the McDs bags. LOL
