Hi!
« on: October 08, 2013, 11:23:14 AM »
I give my mom such a hard time now for depriving me of MLP growing up, especially since one of my best friends had *so* many! The only one I was allowed to have (and that was because it was clearanced) was Ruby Lips. Sad, I know ;)

I am 27, mom of a 4yo daughter who is infatuated with MLP. She just had her birthday, and of course, the theme was MLP, and 9 out of 10 gifts were ponies haha. I love seeing her light up, getting lost in the pony world. Her imagination is fantastic, it is wonderful to listen to her make up scenarios. I am very happy that she loves all generations of MLP (although the G3.5 kinda freak me out), as I'm a bit partial to G2/3. My husband even knows the songs and sings them in the car with her!

Luckily, my best friend still owns most of her collection (if she wasn't so busy with grad school, I'm sure we would be busting open those old bins and playing ponies for days!), and spoils my daughter. She also has horses, one of which her mom says is my daughter's for equestrian in high school :D She is a natural-born rider, perfect posture, no fear, great respect...I'm such a proud mom!

Un-pony related about me: born and raised in MI, live on the other side of the lake that I grew up on. Love reading (and sleeping) and am in animal rescue (volunteer/advocate). We have one dog, and three cats. I also sew and craft. I've started sewing ponies for my daughter, which is really cool! I use ValleyViolet's pattern (from deviantart), and I highly recommend her patterns.

Thanks for allowing me into the arena!

Welcome to the Arena

I never got many ponies when I was little either so I know just how you feel.  The great thing about collecting now is that I have my own money to pay for them so I am making up for lost time.  It's lovely you get to share your daughter's enjoyment of the pony world. She is lucky to have a mother who's so interested in her hobby :frolic:

Enjoy the Arena :cheer:

Let him do your work then and see how long he lasts without pay.
The money is both yours for equal work. If he disagrees, start charging him for yours. ;)

Oh and welcome home.

:newpony: and welcome to the Arena.  Ponies where not around when I was young, but I did have a great time enjoying them when my daughter discovered em.  She is 16 now and we still collect together.
