I was looking at a pony ID site @ the Big Brother ponies and they have one named First Base - I hope he had a baseball symbol - really what were they thinking?

It actually put me off owning the pony when I was a kid so obviously the boys thought it meant the same thing :death:

As Thunderwing mentions, Slugger got a new name over here - they called him First Base. Apparently us Brits maybe understood that in relation to baseball but not the word slugger.

I've kind of been putting this off, mostly because it will end up being slightly off topic as it doesn't mention any names I find bad, but...

I'm going to get on my soapbox, and say I like the name "Pillow Talk", in fact, I find it really cute.  Just because  "Pillow Talk" means talking to one another in bed doesn't mean there has to be anything adult going on, and to be perfectly honest I never thought of any of that when I heard the name;  I just thought about how there are times when you wake up feeling alone at night, and need someone to talk to, which is a phase children go through a lot.

Pillow Talk is also used to mean when people talk to each other during slumber parties, which of course goes with her gift set.

So, basically, I find the name far too innocent to be corrupted, whatever it may suddenly mean now.  I hope that's okay.

I will try to post a more on-topic response in future, i.e. the names I find bad, or at least below par.  If there are any.  I admit I can see the point with some.

I think "Tink-a-Tink-a-Too" is kind of cute. Especially when you just call her "Tinka" and pretend that her surname is "Tinkatoo"

In general I hate all the fanon names that have "Hooves" as the latter part of the name. So boring. And of course . Not because I think it's offensive but because it's just internet slang. It's like calling a pony "Lulzy" and another one "X.D. Trollolo".

I'm fairly sure poor Erector is going to win that one.

"Minuette" suits her mark much better, anyways. Don't know if a toothpaste/dentist pony would have received an hourglass cutiemark... lol. And I say that as someone who actually likes the fanon name for her.

I never thought anything gross about Floater until someone pointed that out. lol Her symbol is balloons so I always assumed to meant to "float like a balloon" at least that's how I played with her when I was little. She's also a flying pony so it made sense.

Someone please tell me why Morning Glory is funny? It's just the name of a flower right?

I've never liked Pinkie Pie but I've gotten used to is.

I can't believe that no one said Baby Noddins. I don't even know what that means or how it relates to her symbol.

PS I I think all the new born twin names are cute, they are meant to match each other, although sometimes the symbols don't match but I still find them cute.

I also don't like Pinkie Pie, because it always used to bother me (and it still does) what balloons have to do with the word Pinkie Pie? Maybe Party Pie would have made more sense?
