The question whenever this type of thread comes up is... What don't I do?
Full time teacher's aide, part-time clerical, part-time respite for 2 familes of special needs children, part-time selling factory built homes... Haven't figured out when I sleep...

I'm a work-study student currently working in the central supply warehouse/procurement services office as an office assistant at my school.  Keeping my eyes open for a position in the school's museum archives.

On top of that I'm working on my Bachelor's degree.

I work in Health Sciences at Mohawk College - I am program secretary/support/admin assistant for the 4 (soon to be 5) Allied Health programs. So I keep everything running and organized - pretty much everything except teaching and marking.

My background is Web Applications. Not really a related field, but I do use a lot of my computer knowledge. On the side I also designed and maintain the website (and FB page) for a local men's choral group - Brant Men of Song.

I'd love to have a craft store on Etsy, but I need to finish a lot of my own half-started projects before I can look at that. And find a way to keep myself interested and motivated... I get lots of ideas, and start a bunch, and then get busy/bored/whatever and leave it behind for years.

I'm currently doing an MA in Art History, which is taking up most of my time!

Do you have a specific interest/period? I did Medieval Studies and minored in Religious Art, so interesting  ^.^

My thesis focuses on contemporary art photography by women (specifically depictions of girlhood and how it intersects with cinema). Outside of my thesis I love photography of most styles and the rest of the art I truly love is from the Modern era on (even post modern and contemporary). Definitely looked at some religious art in my undergrad though! :) Definitely interesting.

I love the topic of your thesis! Sounds super interesting :)

One of my favourite museums over here has a 'from Jesus to G-sus' exhibition. It's sooooo cool.

Thank-you! It's definitely very interesting for me :) Oh, that sounds really interesting! :D

I have both my BFA and MFA in Illustration. So I do freelance work as my time allows, since I am a stay-at-home mom to my four daughters, ages 8, 6, 4, and 2.

I also teach art classes after school from my home studio to kids ages 6 - 18, and I also offer portfolio guidance to those looking to apply to art school.

My husband is a 3-D artist in the video game industry. Right now he works for Sledgehammer, which is one of the studios contreacted to make the Call of Duty games. He's in charge of the facial pipeline for their game, which is due out fall of 2014.

So we're pretty artsy-fartsy in our house, lol!

One of these threads? Ok here's me :)

I'm a Television control room operator in Australia.
Things have downsized a fair bit in the last decade, so it's mostly News and less Program production.

Speaking of that News department, there's a journalist co-worker who kept a lonely G1 pony on her desk.... I wonder if she's figured out where the other two came from.... :)  :)  :)

I'm a full time student in the last year of my Bachelors degree in nursing! This time next year I'll be an RN. Woo!

I'm also a CNA and have worked both in the hospital and home health areas. I prefer the hospital setting, but don't mind home health either.

I dont hate or love my job, but I am happy with who I am! I work overnight at a very nice Walmart with lovely staff! I make a decent amount to where I have plenty $$ left over after bills to both save up and buy ponies and pokemon stuff! ^-^

Before Walmart, I worked 2 part time jobs in Indiana. I worked mainly at Science Central as a Science Specialist on the education board and helped children discover earth-space science and biology. I have a tremendous amount of knowledge through college books belonging to my friend who taught Paleontology and Astronomy at IPFW. I also worked at  a greenhouse/plant nursery as a plant caregiver .

I would  to be a vet or science teacher someday, however I feel its too soon for me to go into college. I want to collect toys for a while before I settle down and start school on top of a full time job! I would also love to work in animation as I seem to have some talent in the arts department!

I am the department manager for Fabrics, Crafts, Stationary, and Celebrations at Walmart

Yay! :D I guess a few people here work at walmart too! It really isnt so bad, I was offered department manager position for toys but I like overnight and I dont want to loose $1.20 off my hourly pay. My friend is making $15.80 an hour full time because he stayed overnight.

I am working on a MA in military history but I also am the night manager of a candy shop. It will be closing in about 3 weeks though as its only seasonal.

I worked for walmart for a few months when I lived in Alaska doing stocking for the dairy/frozen foods dept. It sucked BIG TIME. It may be the 2nd largest walmart in the country but they have ALOT to learn about how to treat employees and they had a 85% turnover rate. Even with a starting pay rate of $13/hr, they still cant keep people. Basically they tell you what you want to hear during their interviews and never follow through with it.  :enraged: I needed 2 weeks off to fly from alaska to NY for my mothers funeral and to settle things here. I wasnt there long enough for a LOA and the only person who could approve it was the store manager. He told me "we only want people who are willing to work as employees. Brevement is THREE DAYS and if you are not going to be back in THREE DAYS - you might as well go turn in your resignation to HR right now." His EXACT words. 3 days? It takes about 24 hours to fly from Alaska to NY. Asshole
