Where to find missing/lost thing in YOUR home!
« on: September 11, 2013, 03:10:02 PM »
So, I guess we all have lost at least one thing almost on daily basis.

Let's try this to search for things your are sure THEY ARE in your home (in my case... always my room).

Places to search!

Desk/computer area.
Toy shelve rith at the entrance, right near the light switch.
Bed...  almost always undone/with things thrown on it.
Backpack.../carrier's bag.
Desk at the entrance.

It should be in one of these places... but what happens when the missing item is not there?

And... rith now I've lost a BOX (small) full of toys...  ideas to sarch?  It should be in my room XD

Now:

Where are the places you tend to search first?

Were it should be/last place I remember it- But most of the time my lost item is A) the 1st place I looked or B) were I would not think to look. - Looking for my laundry card - I remember seeing Sunday but I have no idea were it went.  I need it for the machines in my Apt building as they don't take change and it costs 10.00 for a new one- $4 for the cars and $6 to start off with.

I am shocking at losing my cell phone. I always leave it on vibrate too so it's difficult to even ring it.  :P

It depends what it is.  Usually the computer desk, my purse, or one of the shelfs/cabinets :)

1. Pockets.
2. My doll/pony/craft room.
3. The baaaaasement.  Sometimes when I have to clean up in a hurry- I throw everything (be it toys/craft project/whatever) into a shopping bag and drop it off in my "spot" in the basement- with the idea of coming back and sorting it all out later.   I would not advise anyone ever try this approach for cleaning up... things get lost for so long sometimes.

My dog's bed.   :P

He steals all plushes, pillows, cups, and plastic things... especially if it's brand new.  Older items I've handled a lot don't tempt him.  I'm not sure why.

But I'm always losing my keys.

So...

1. Nightstand
2. Kitchen table
3. Counter space
4. Computer desk

In order of likeliness the item will be:

1. The PC workspace
2. My drawer
3. The 'globe'
4. The cabinet
5. Stitch bin

...Unless it's my MP3 player, then it can be thrown in a bedroom on the floor.

If it is misplaced in my house, it usually ends up on the kitchen island.

Floor. Or a pile somewhere. Or a box. Or any combination of those three!

Or behind a curtain. I don't know how many times I've been unable to find my hairbrush then eventually thought to look behind my bedroom curtain.
