I have only used Rit. It does have specific instructions for dying nylon. (And it has worked quite well for hair, in my opinion.)I am interested to see if others have tried nylon-specific dye though.
Me!! I have a small business dyeing yarn, I dye wool, silk and nylon and they all use acid dyes. I use 3 brands and one of them is Jacquard. I have dyed pony hair with it and of course it works perfectly since it's meant for nylon Acid dyes are colorfast whereas Rit dye won't be 100% colorfast. And don't be scared by the dyes being called acid dyes, the acid is vinegar

Now my question is, does it bleed through paint when you seal said paint?
