Oh gosh yes. My first car was a 1987 Honda Prelude and I LOVED that car. I don't think I have a pic readily available that I can share but her name was Pricilla (looked like this but with different wheels
http://assets.hemmings.com/story_image/293831-1000-0.jpg?rev=2 ). I got her in 2003 and finally just developed too many problems to justify keeping and I had to replace her in 2009. I got really emotional when I had to get rid of her.
Now I have Sophie, 2005 Honda Accord (hm notice how similar they are...)

I love her so much too. Great car. I have all my prelude's Honda logos (which I pried off the night before sending her to the wrecking yard and totally cried while doing so) sitting on the back dash of my new car.

This is her back window ^^ for clarity, I HATE my family stickers, but found this hilarious and sending a message to other car owners how stupid they actually look. (I do not own 16 cats, just 3)

Anyways my dad has a....
1972 Grabber blue Maverick and that is my ALL TIME FAVORITE CAR!!!!!!!
My Dad ordered this car brand new off from the line and back in 72.
it is Grabber Blue with gold Stripes.

2010 my Brother and Sister and I wanted to surprise my Dad on his 60th birthday (Spring of 2012 was Dads 60th birthday)
So We had Dad and Mom take the Maverick to South Dakota. When it came home we took the Maverick over to TnT Auto Body Shop, and had the Maverick Restored to look like it was in 1972 (got rid of the rust). With an added 347 Stroker.

Oh my gosh, I'm drooling!  The Maverick doesn't get nearly as much respect as it deserves in classic car circles though the Grabbers are certainly appreciating in value.

Two thirds of my current fleet are Fords and I'm rather attached to both (especially the blue one - the white one has been nothing but problems since I bought it but that's to be expected with a car that's over thirty years old):

And I also have this Swedish brick that I've become quite attached to nonetheless:

However, much like a number of others who've posted on this thread, nothing will ever beat my first car in terms of attachment (it was a Toyota - though I don't have any good pics of it).

It's so nice to see people are invested in their cars.  As for my beloved hi-lux, I sold it a couple of days ago to my husband's uncle so it's still in the family :lovey:

I have names for all of mine and love them. My 3000 is my Baby or the Beast. My Insight is named Bullet Bill, and the Raptor is... Raptor.  And the Cobra I call a jerk because she's pretty picky these days about if the battery feels like holding a charge.

I am. I drive a big old Thunderbird named Wilson, aka Willy, Wonderbird, the eaglemobile, thunderchicken, or just "the t-bird". He's the first car I bought all by myself; I chose him, drove all the way to the next county to bring him home, and haven't regretted it yet :) Runs like a dream, it's like driving a tank. He's a bit of an old man, but he's a tough old man. The backset is like a leather couch. I bought him out of necessity, after I totaled my beat-up little Saturn. We'll see how he does in the snow this year.

I am in the same boat!! I don't want to let go of my car but it isn't being used. The only reason I keep a hold of it is because it's the first car I bought myself and I cried when I got the title since I had so many issues with it. I actually have put it on Craigslist a couple times with a few responses but I still haven't sold it yet. :( I really need too!!

mine's been sitting in the backyard unused for about 6 years now. i am finally at the point where i want to ring someone to come collect it, but my partner has other ideas. he would rather take it out in some paddocks and rally it till it dies. i know if someone comes and takes it it will be scrapped and crushed, but i won't have to see it or know about it. if he rallies the car, i will have to hear all about it, and probably come across photos of it too. i want to ring someone to come get it when he's not home, but it's got mags on it that he wants, and the thing is so embedded in the grass i've got buckleys of changing the wheels myself

Awww, this is a great thread.

Like everyone else, I was super-attached to my first car   It was an "electric blue" 91 Geo Tracker.  I got it when I was a senior in high school and drove it until I was in grad school.  I sold it because I was putting too many miles on it and didn't want to kill it, so I sold it to someone I knew, who I thought would take care of it.  It was wrecked less than 6 months later *sadface*  I don't have any pics of her on my computer, I only have actual, physical pictures of her, lol...but this is pretty much exactly what she looked like, only her top was black instead of white.

When I sold the Tracker aka "The Blue Bombshell," I got a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2...I drove her until about 2 months ago.  130-something thousand miles later, I traded her in because she just didn't wanna go anymore.  A couple of trips up and down the eastern seaboard and 3 Vermont winters were enough for her.  Not gonna lie, I kinda teared up when I traded her off.

Now I have this!  I've only had it a couple of months now, so there's no name yet...but I love it!

I was really attached to my first car.  His name was Tinkertoy and he wasn't glamourous or expensive or anything, but he was MINE and could fit everything I owned.  I took care of him and kept him clean for 7 years.  When I moved to Australia after I got married my parents gave him to my total waste of space brother, who totaled him in under 3 days.

I was to my 3rd car. I always got hand me down cars. I got this 1993 Ford Taurus in 2001 when I graduated college. By this time the car was my sisters who drove it as she went to college...then became mine. It was a tank. I put it in the ditch three times....all 3 times I was able to drive out of the ditch and never got a scratch and it never looked beat up until the rust started to happen...but that happens with age. It did get the nick name the craptacular ford Taurus. hahahaha. She didn't look pretty nor did she have anything fancy but for all the snow storms I had to drive her through she gave me many years. It was my last years at school I had to let her go...she was dying. Best car ever:)
