Sunset Shimmers hair?

Is it just me or is Sunset Shimmers hair a lot nicer quality than most of the G4's?

I bought her today, unboxed her and I hated her hair, so I washed it, ironed it and it struck me how silky and smooth her hair felt! When I unboxed my Rarity her hair had split ends, it was frizzed, and its still, today really really dry. But I took Sunset out the box and she was 100% perfect in terms of her hair.

She has ingrained dirt on her front right hoof though (and she was the only one in Tesco! Argh!) and there is imprints on her face that the mask has left... so not impressed with her overall...

The hair of most G4s I have opened has been very good, a few had frizzy tail tips, but usually they have great hair out of box, anmd I like box hair, I feel so reason to throw conditioner into pony hair that is silky and soft already. My Sunset Shimmer's hair is very soft and nice after a few months.

I don't know why I'm still shocked at the quality control of the G4s. It's always terrible.

I don't know why I'm still shocked at the quality control of the G4s. It's always terrible.

The brushable ponies I've found have been very good quality.  The only flaw I've come across is a Sunny Rays with the tiniest cutie mark smudge.

I mean, I personally haven't seen any floating head Celestias   Or any hornless Rarities either!

The Funko ponies have interesting quality control issues, but I think it's adding to the fun of collecting them.  Gives me a challenge!

Blind bags are completely devoid of any quality control I'm certain of it.

I cant say I noticed anything in particular in with Sunset Shimmer but I do agree there are different degrees of quality in pony hair with this line so far. Probably as simple as different production lines, hair batches etc

I must be the unlucky one xD My S.S. has a gross tail! It is super frizzy and uneven I have not seen another S.S. since I bought her so I'm at least glad I snagged one for my collection... icky tail and all xD

My Sunset Shimmer was flawless when I got her  no issues whatsoever...not that I care or anything 
The only G4 hair I have issue with is Dewdrop Dazzle's and Wysteria's.
Both mane and tail of Dewdrop's is frizzy (still is) and Wysteria's tail is dry, frizzy, and hard  but I just deal with it

I've been seeing a worrisome trend lately. A lot of G4's I've gotten lately have fine manes... but the ends of their tails are dry, frizzy, and rough!!! It's a real bummer!

On the whole i've liked the quality of hair on all my ponies, though i've found that MIB FS ponies have softer manes than tails. After a wash, though, it's fine!

I am sorry to hear that you Sunset Shimmer is not good. I have had a lot of good luck with mine so far. I got the FS Pinkie Pie with the black hair off TaoBao and her hair is AWESOME!!!
