Are you an active or retired collector?

I am active but I pretty much only buy what I like. My wallet does not allow me to collect ponies, Monster High and La La's, so I have to be picky and choosey.

Aw, this thread's a little sad to me. Seems like the older collectors are retiring and MLP is being overtaken by Bronies.

I'm active. Not VERY active, but active. I buy new ponies often, all generations. Today my G2 Flash just got here, yesterday I managed to pick up the new G4 Wysteria, got a few blind bags last week and before that I grabbed G4 Sunset Shimmer. I have 150+ ponies right now, seems very smal compared to the collectors on here. xD I keep them at the top of my closet because I'm 15, live with my parents, and only have one room, so my closet has become sort of the "pony room" that I can close the doors on if I wish, the rest of my room is dedicated to rock and metal and I keep the two separated. Running out of room in there. xD

I consider myself an active pony collector. But pony collecting doesn't mean just buying something new all the time to me though. I also enjoy pony styling, rehairing, rearranging my display, pics, the Arena, learning new info etc

I am an active collector. But that does not mean I am buying all the time. I am at the collecting stage where I am only looking for a handful of items so that in itself reduces the speed/regularity with which I buy things.

For me too pony collecting is not about buying and buying - its about the joy of having and maintaining and learning about my collection

I'm a 'no' for ponies.  I just don't have the same joy with the actual toys that I used to and feel that they can be better loved by someone else.  I do love usable pony merchandise, though, so I'll pick that up, along with the odd Blind Bag of a pony I like, since they're smaller.

I am quite active but will be cutting back on the collecting due to me moving soon and buying a house.

More like semi-retired. My collection is the smallest it's been in years, and I'm not actively collecting. That may or may not change in the future; who knows? If I decide to collect again, it'll always only be G1 and G3. One thing that has never changed is that I love classic My Little Pony.

I'm an active collector! I collect the ones I like, which are any G1 and G2 I find since my collection is pretty small and certain G4's. But I try to only buy in stores/thrift shops/flea markets so I don't spend my money too fast. Especially since I'm moving into an apartment in a few weeks.

I am an active but slow collector, meaning that I mostly get new ponies only a few times a year - pony meets, the Fair, conventions, a handful of new items that come out that I deeply love.  I also collect Transformers and am working part time now, so I have to budget carefully for toys, and not spend beyond my allowed amounts.  Since I have limited money, I buy only the things I truly love, not just anything because it is pony.

Active - especially new ponies in stores. Older ponies are just as they come - I don't do much on Ebay, but any in thrift stores or swaps are good.

I retired sometime during the G3 reign, then came back with the G4s out. I am just buying what I really like at this time.

I love collecting all sorts of things,  and my big thing is fashion dolls. But,  it's a good thing I consider ponies fashion "dolls "  So my collection kinds changes as new dolls and ponies come out.  And I have to display everything!!
