I rarely poke my head into this area of the Arena. I have been reading through a lot of threads and learned of so many problems
I, too, have my headaches, but I wanted to share something positive!!
I recently sold a Kitchenaid mixer on eBay and, unfortunately, the buyer received it damaged. Although I had my doubts that it was really broken (he said the box was dented and the mixer smelled funny when he turned it on. He's now scared to use it. He's also a Powerseller specializing in electronics...*raises eyebrow*), I fully refunded him
and allowed him to keep the mixer. I mean, the thing cost me $64.53 to ship TO him. If it really was broken, he'd be out $64.53 too. Didn't make sense to me.
I was really bummed. I was out a mixer AND $64.53. I've always had my doubts about the USPS insurance service. Why, I don't know. I went online and submitted my claim...and never expected to hear from anyone.
Well, I didn't hear from anyone. Instead I got a check in the mail for the value of the mixer AND the $64.53 shipping costs.
The system WORKS! I couldn't be more pleased that I did the right thing for the buyer and didn't lose my shirt to do it! I just hope he gives me a positive feedback...
