Bronycon 2013?

Just curious why (maybe I missed it?) I can't find anything on Bronycon 2013 here. I didn't realize its next weekend. I know they are FIM but it's still a part of My Little Pony. Thanks

It could just be that no one has had anything to say about it. There don't tend to be a lot of toys there, I think.

While I know there are people here who are interested and I am sure will be going. I think the Brony Con target market could be described as a little different to the general Arena demographic. That is probably why there has not been any big mentions of it here. Perhaps now there is a thread more people will pop up who are attending!

I am looking forward to a lot of cosplays and hopefully I can get all of the merch I am missing out on.

And as our fellow members mentioned. BronyCon doesn't really touch upon the interests MLPArena was founded on. BronyCon does sell some merch, but it isn't as classic fan oriented as the MLPFair for example. It mostly targets the Brony subculture's interests. While said interests may overlap with classic fan's sometimes, it doesn't always.

I can post pictures and share my experience if you guys want. I went there last year too. I also worked security then. But besides the security experience, I went to meet the show staff. This time around, besides security, I'm more interested in the merchandise that will be available. (Having met the show staff twice now, BronyCon and Unicon.) I not only collect the official Hasbro merch and customize some of it (which is why I joined this board in part), but also buy a lot of fan made plushies and sculptures online, so I look forward to what will be available physically there.

I am SO tempted to ask someone going to Bronycon to pick up one of those Bubble Muffin ponies at the WeLoveFine booth.

Ah, the heck with it!  I'll ask!  Could someone pick one up for me?  I'd PayPal the funds for the additional merch & the pony before the con.

I'll be there as an art vendor! I'm selling pony art which is mostly painted and traditional media. The characters are from Friendship is Magic, but I've worked hard to make my table look as generation-friendly as possible. I'll have pony toys from every generation on my table to welcome guests!

I really wish there was a gathering planned for the more classic collectors. I checked the schedule, but no luck. I have a ton of G3's I was hoping to give away to good homes, but bronies don't seem to like them.
