Lol, I just can't help it. I always get antsy around my birthday
But, as of today, I am 21!
Honesty though, I am not overly fond of drink, so it does not mean as much to me as it does to some.
However, I was given my first present by a dear friend yesterday.
I now own a bottle of port.
Through sipping sibling's and parent's beverages over the years, I have come to discover that I do not care for the taste of alcohol unless it is sweet wine or mead. Hence the port. Bonus! It was made by a really nice guy whom I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday (he also brews and sells mead
) Plus, as I stated before, it was given to me by a very dear, close friend.
I hope I like port!
Later today I am going over to my sister's house to have dinner with the family. We will have garlic chicken breast (it has breadcrumbs and butter and garlic-y goodness) with mashed potatos and green beans (all homemade) and a german chocolate cake! My favorite! I have already gotten so many lovely birthday wishes, and this day is only getting better <3
