:) Favourite Concert?

So this evening I have bounced in to the house after my Bon Jovi concert. Of course Jon brings the tour to Scotland just to visit me. 

But it got me thinking, sometimes I get stuck in my musical taste and don't ever attend concerts outside the bands I follow.

So I wondered what concerts have you been to for bands you love or just because you got a ticket and thought was fantastic enough to recommend to others to check them out if they ever get the chance?

I've been to lots of concerts -- my first was the Rolling Stones, hehe. Anyway, my favorite was seeing Roger Waters performing The Wall. (That was actually the second time I saw him live -- the first, he performed Dark Side of the Moon.) That's my favorite Pink Floyd album, and I've always wanted to see it performed live. <3

I have only been to one concert in my life and it was my idol, Paul McCartney.  I don't think anyone could ever compare to him, he was amazing, I smiled the entire time and my whole face hurt the next day.

Stars. I saw them in college after hearing their albums from a friend....that was in 2007.. and then I saw them again in 2013, and they sounded just as awesome!

my favs are Clutch, Counting Crows, The Black Angels, Bon Jovi, and Weezer ... been to a LOT more but i take all factors into account when rating lol but i have NEVER been dissappointed with those five  ... EVER

I have been to a lot of shows. Though, I do not frequent them quite as much as I once did. I must say, the most enjoyable ones have been those that were not my favorite artists. I suppose because I was not as excited from the beginning, there was no let down...

omigod hathorcat you are so lucky!!!! i have to wait till december!! how was it? what did they sing? was richie there? lol!!! i am so so excited!!!!! our seats aren't the best due to the ticket seller having a server meltdown but i'm sure it will be awesome anyway!!!

my fave concert so far was a charity concert many years ago, starring bon jovi (of course!) but also my fave aussie singer jimmy barnes. i was in music heaven!!! next fave was bon jovi a couple years ago, and bon jovi a couple years before that (even if i was 7.5 months preggars and was a stand/sit on grass event ) cold chisel was a great concert, and 20 years ago meatloaf was fantastic!!!

oh, and not really a concert, but i am going to the cirq du soleil michael jackson show in october. anyone been to that? it looks ab fab!!

That's a hard one.  Rammstein has an amazing stage show with all of Till Lindemann's fire, Skillet also has a great stage show, and Tenacious D is a lot of fun.  Unfortunately I couldn't get close enough to the stage at HIM to really experience them the right way.

I love going to concerts, and I have a very wide taste in music so I've racked up a few. Some of my faves have been Metallica, Nine Inch Nails (7 months pregnant!), Backstreet Boys, Interpol... Next month I'm going to see Train with Gavin DeGraw and in November we're seeing NIN again

LOL, you say that like it's no big deal!  I'd LOVE to see Metallica and I know 3 others who would give anything for the chance to see them, too!

Hands down my favorite concert that I've been to was the Dethklok concert I went to... Yes, the cartoon band from Metalocalypse on Adult Swim... I was front row. It. Was. Amazing!!

We don't get many good concerts in my country (and if we do then they are usually at the top end which involves expensive flights).  I did however recently see Aerosmith though and it was a FANTASTIC night!
