Whats one food item you cant live without?

So, youre going on vacation and something happens.  Youre stranded and you have no idea when youll beable to get back. Whats the one food item you would need to have?


Im a bit of a catch 22 case where I have medical needs associated with food.  If we are talking things related to that, it would probably be something with electrolytes in it.  From a crave point of view, it would be chocolate (even though I cant have much of it, im still female )

One food item?  Hmm... I would have to say apples since they're delicious, filling, refreshing, and able to be eaten raw.

I have health issues that require a specific diet but if we are just talking about the one food I must have for happiness' sake, potatoes.

Eh with my IBS and other stomach issues my food list is short. I guess maybe rice? It's something that is bland that I can eat...but I cannot eat a ton of that either.

Hot sauce, yes not a "food" but a "food item".  I love hot,spicy food and this helps that along.  My favorite is Tapito. Followed by this brand called Chicken Land's "Crazy Peri Peri". Named for one of the hottest peppers, with a sweet almost salty after kick.

Cheese.  There, I said it.

Cheese was a close second for me. And then possibly nuts and raisins.

Although, if trail mix w/ M&Ms could count as a single food item, then I would change mine from apples to that.

I want to say "soy cream" but it's not much use to me without coffee.

So:  Assuming I am in a place where typical fare is available but more exotic fare is not:  Soy cream. 

Assuming I am on survival exercise and I'm going to be eating sticks and bugs aside from the one food in my pack...Dammit.  I really want to say rice.  It's tasty and agrees with me.  But the honest answer is caffeine.

See aforementioned survival exercise and me being the officer who snuck six pepsis into camp.  When discovered, suggested to the sergeant that this being a survival exercise, if he wanted all the people on it to survive, I should not be separated from caffeine.

Dr. Peppers.  I'm off of them right now and I miss them terribly    If you don't accept that as a food, since it is a drink, then strawberries.  I love them.  Or Dove chocolate.  If I have any of those three, I'm pretty content.  If I've got all three, I'm having a dang good time.
