So I know there have been plenty of threads like this before, but I've had really bad week, and could use some cheering up by looking at one of my other favorite things to collect: tattoos! I'm waiting to hear back from my artist to set up my next appointment (she's been having a rough last few months, as well) so let me see your latest one! Or your whole collection! Or whatever you want to show off. I haven't got anything new since last September, so help tide me over until I get my next fix!!

Kanji for "trouble"--and yes, I'm sure that's what it means, I found it in high school Japanese class and ran it past my teacher. I got it when I was 18.

My newest one! I got it about six months ago. I've wanted a winged heart for ages, and I stitched the design together out of some stuff from a webcomic I like.

Oh man so nice... I want to get a tattoo but I haven't found the best artist yet... only one in my town is... new. She lacks experience and I'm sorta a perfectionist. I'm hoping to get to the city to see the artists there for a consult. I love the linework on those.  So crisp n clean.

Thanks! The newer one badly needs a touchup since it healed weird, but I'm overall very pleased with both. Definitely wait for a good artist, that's the most important thing. The shop where I got the newer one just got a new artist who specializes in watercolor tattoos, and I sooooooo want to get one of those. I'm just not sure what.

Poe's Raven and picture by Abigail Larson. She was kind enough to let me use her art while teaching my students about Poe, let me get it on my body and make some other tat designs for me...I'll get them someday when I decide placement.

I'll post an updated photo if I can find it because this is a half sleeve I have on my left arm. It's fully colored now and actually has an old tattoo of mine inside it (band of pride stars)

im addicted to tattoos xD unfortunally im incredibly picky and cant aford them whenever i want them, so iv only got 2 haha

I cant take a picture of my oldest one because its on the back of my neck, but its a blue eyed tiger face, since i was born year of the tiger and its my favorite animal. I think I was 19 when I got it, I kinda forget about it just because I cant see it, but I still really like it.

I got the triskelion, on the inside of my left forearm. This one has a lot of meaning, that I wont go into detail about, but in short, it represents me moving forward, making my life better and making amends with things i had done in the past. I wanted it to be someplace Id be able to see it.

some day Id like to have a full half sleeve on my left arm but since my tattoos have to mean something significant that might take a while xD

From original art commissioned by me from WSW on DA. Wolves are deeply important to me and the script is Cherokee. The word is hope, again with personal meaning behind it. Because I'm Cherokee (wild potato clan from OK).

That was two years ago and I'm planing my next one. A companion to it, on my right shoulder. Getting inked is like potato chips, you can't have just one. My personal tastes run to traditional, mostly all black ink. With minimal if any color at all.

Everyone's ink looks great. Keep the stories and pictures coming.
