Oh boy thunder!

After a week of blazing heat, with a mighty crack of thunder so loud it rattled the office walls and nearly scared me outa my chair, it's pouring rain outside! My poor dogs, I sure hope my dad brought them in, they're gonna be SO scared.  At least we finally have rain though... we need it. Alberta is getting flooded but the Yukon is on fire. 4 new fires in my district in the last 24 hours (thankfully the closest is 200KM away), and we are marked as extreme fire danger.

Love the weather, don't you? Which extreme are you getting right now? Fire? Flood? Snow?

Gah, send those storms our way. They've been saying chance of thunderstorms for 2 weeks now (and all this week) - we've gotten nothing!

Iceland is being bi-polar as usual. I woke up to pouring rain and wind, now it's all sunny outside. I'm sure as soon as I step outside to take my dog for a walk, it will start pouring again.

There's a saying here: "If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes", unfortunately it goes the other way around too

Its hot and you can cut the humidity with a knife its soo thick!  We are supposed to get thunder but the storms seem to just miss us.

Would be nice to get a bit of rain...and for the humidity to scram!  You cant breathe out there!

It's been really humid here lately! 37-39*C with the humidex all week...and we're not even CLOSE to the equator compared to other countries!

99*F (37*C) today, although my state took the title for hottest in the nation today with 129*F (53*C) in Death Valley, California. There's a reason it's called Death Valley!

We'll gladly take your rain but since LA is a desert city there's no chance it'll rain for a few more months. We don't see rain until September if we're lucky.

We've had "Boring Generic Grey Skies, Sometimes Humid" for what seems like months. Summer in this country can be really weird. September and October seem to be our nicest months right now.
