A Meeting More Than 20 Years in the Making

Back in G1 Year 8 (1989-1990), I thought I was getting my favorite pony, Lucky Stallion, and his best buddies Clipper & Baby Sweet Celebrations, two more friends:

However, when the package finally arrived, I was totally devastated to discover two GIRL ponies instead :yikes:

What a wonderful brag!  I don't understand Hasbro - did they honestly think a pony fan would not notice the difference in the ponies they sent??  At least you got something I guess.  So happy you now have the boy versions too and PKW made an awesome job of them :)

Congrats! They are totally gorgeous. :) I have been so tempted to get customs of those guys... I have always been disappointed that they were girls!

Yeah, I don't know what Hasbro was thinking either. It's too bad that they gave up on the mold as I adore it so much. About once a year I have a pony dream where I find new boys in this pose in a store somewhere ^^;

@Clipper, I definitely recommend her work! :)  The best baits for them are Baby Bright Bouquet and Baby Apple Delight, if you can find baity ones. You can see that one of mine had a chewed ear, but pkw sanded it down nicely so that it's barely noticeable now.

@himme, yeah I was mad at Hasbro for so long about this (actually still am, heh, but my new customs soothe my grudge a bit).

Lol, I used to have pony dreams like that!  It always sucked to wake up and find I didn't really have all those wonderful rare ponies I had just found.  ;)
