One single Taobao thread?

I agree, great idea! I don't really care about all the Taobao stuff since I'm primarily a G1 collector and don't collect G4. Gets kind of annoying when half of the first page in the Pony Corral is about different Taobao ponies that were found.

One single thread or a subforum would be great in my opinion - I agree with Teddy that sometimes it can get a little annoying when the first page of the corral is cluttered with different (or even the same) ponies on Taobao.

I also vote for a sub-forum.  It makes more sense because then you can discuss a single pony for as long as you like or avoid reading about that pony if you are not interested in it. 

Otherwise if you have just one thread it will become insanely long.

I like the idea, sometimes I am looking for a picture of one pony and go thought several threads to finally find it. This would be nice to have.

Subform sounds great, there's way too much stuff going on around Taobao for just one thread.

This is an interesting idea, but I don't think it is necessary. There's what, 4 topics on the front page right now about unreleased ponies? That doesn't seem bad at all. If people don't want to talk very much in each individual thread, they are going to get disappear off the front page as fast as they appeared.

I think the topic would be too slow for a sub forum, too.

Why not have something like the "out now and coming soon thread", where one person in charge of the thread gathers new pictures each time a new taobao pony thread pops up? If the thread was stickied, people could use it for reference.

I'm pleased I wasn't talking rubbish when I suggested a sub-forum . But yeah, I do see the issues with it being slow at times. Though I think that is natural, even the Corral can have few new threads, if any, over a period of a few days. I guess it's just the way things work.

But I do still think it would make it easier for most people to navigate and understand. Trying to read 30 pages of just on thread when like, 20 are Minty, 5 are blue hair celestia, two are agents and 3 are other things would be hard as one singular thread.
Rather than just a "Taobao out and coming soon" type thread. It would also be a good place for advice on agents, bulk orders etc etc.

Plus, as Teddy said, it would keep the G4 Taobao out of the way of collectors who aren't interested

I don't know if I really like the idea of a separation of g4 news from the rest of the community. I like seeing new threads for new items so one consolidated taobao thread doesn't seem a very good idea to me either as others said it would get mixed up and confusing. Then again I think there are 3 or 4 threads about Minty right now which might be a little unnecessary.

I don't think it would be too slow. Sure there will be lulls like any forum really. I frequent the Nirvana forum a lot and sometimes here are slow times and sometimes it's crazy. But like a few have mentioned it won't just be a what's new, there can be threads about agents or noob threads asking questions on how it works or even threads on sharing an order.

I think the subforum would just be for items that surface on Taobao, yeah? So when/if those items become official, i.e. announced by Hasbro or put up for pre-order, they would go back to being posted about in the Corral.
