What's your survival chances in the face of a zombie apocalypse?

Just wondering.

I think mine is low.

I DO live far far out of town, so it's unlikely any would wander out this far, but I've also got limited food stores. I may have fresh water because I get it from a well? But I am not sure how that works.

I have no weapons except my sword and, friends, I am no swordmaster.

So I think I'll last a week.

How about you?

My only saving grace is the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere and I know how to garden and can veggies. Otherwise, I'm toast on the first day

I think my chances are pretty good. I live in the middle of town so I can get to stores rather quickly and the people I live with collect swords and other weapons. There are five of us so I'd say we could last quite awhile taking turns defending the house and going out for supplies Though if I was ever alone, I'd be eaten probably within five minutes

Low. I have two young children and would die right away protecting them. They are loud, scare easily, can't follow directions, etc. On my own I think I would do very well. But i dont see the point of surviving without my babies.

No food supplies and water supplies for maybe one week. No weapons at all, just a tiny but sharp knife. And I don't speak the language, so if people get evacuated I don't even understand where to go and what to do.

UPDATE: It has been discovered I will continue to have water even once the city water is out. And I have a firepit, so, if I don't mind surviving on ramen, I now estimate I will live two weeks.

ALSO! Remember that sturdy brooms and shovels are good weapons!

i think as long as the first thing i do is rob a pharmacy i may outlive all of you LOL.  jk. 

 But seriously i know pretty essential fighting skills, i know how to use throwing knives,daggers, a gun, deadly slingshot, a baton and am professionally trained in the art of the bull whip and grew up a military brat.  even with my faulty body and nerve damage dont count me out in a scrape i can muster the right type of energy.     not to mention i have the skills of raising farm animals for food and other needs, i have a horse (transportation), a goat for packing, and the ability to grow food with my seed collection as well as a large dog for protection and a trained egg laying turkey (of course i am allergic to eggs lol but i can feed my comrades should i be with any) 

i also have a collection of random waterbottles and canteens (weird right?) i grew up at a young age in 3 states on tornado alley so i know the signs of disaster so first thing i will do is get out my bottle water supply and run all bathtubs full of water if possible then pack my animals up with water and canned food

So as long as i have sustaining medication, and my animals, and my weapons i might be a threat to behold hahaha

Me and mine are heading to BLS's place.  I have a black belt hubby, medical training and a kid who can kick the daylights out of kneecaps.  Hubby is a Walking Dead fan, so maybe that will help?

bbwhahaha!  rybett you are all welcome     i as well am a walking dead fan.   even though they have yet to bring up the issue of needing sustainabe food source and knowledge of food growth and animal husbandry which i am waiting for!

I actually had a dream about this happening! Lol I lost my husband... but I figured I knew where he'd go, so I stole a car, drove out to a produce place, stole a horse float and supplies, caught some horses, loaded them up and started driving to where I knew he'd be, with some randoms I picked up along the way... then I woke up and had to go to work. My conclusion: I'd kick-a$$ in an apocolypse!

I think I'd be another in the 'not so long' camp    If it came to the crunch, we'd probably be ok with the 'emergency' food and water we always have stashed (for a few days at least) but then when the creatures come calling I'd probably last as long as my doors and windows held out!

It does make me wonder if I should invest in a cricket bat, though, so I can at least go all Shaun of the Dead styles....

I did the count some weeks ago and realised I could last three months in my apartment. I live high up with a pretty good front door that opens out so not so easy to break in. I have a huge glassed in balcony where I grow herbs during summer, I could probably do vegetables as well. I can open the windows when it rain so I can get fresh water, or if I had a very long rope or ropeladder, I can get water from the river beneath me. I already have litter and catfood to last a few months, my fridge is full, and when that gets spoiled I have a lot of canned food. I live ten minutes from a supermarket and I have blankets if it gets cold.

My boyfriend decided to jump from the balcony at the first signs of zombies.. it makes me sad =/.

Hmm. I think I could last for quite a while.
We have a cabinet of guns, quite a few sharp carving knives, about ten stockwhips, live way out in the middle of nowhere, have a whole river of fresh water for drinking, a coolroom, veggie garden and cattle for eating, a bunch of horses for transportation, five helicopters, a plane and three water trucks. Also some motorbikes, bull-buggies and some trucks. And a grader. And a loader. And a very vicious Maltese puppy xD Oh and some pigs that would gladly nom on zombie for lunch. haha I'm set!

Hubby and I live on a lifestyle property with sheep and chickens for food.  We have two huge water tanks and both of us have firearms licences and guns on the property.  I think out chances are okay but we don't have a huge fence around the property so a herd of zombies could pose a problem!
