I have 3 ponies with cancer...I keep them all in their own separate bags!

Im terrified it will spread to my other healthy ones as Ive heard/read that it does eventually?

I keep the 3 of them on a top shelf together, sorry I dont have a photo right now to show! At least they have some company :P

Sadly its 2 TE ponies that have it :( starting to wonder if a lot of TE ponies are prone to it?

Ive kept them separated so I havent left it to chance!
Im not 100% sure if it does, Ive just read on some sites that it can do. Just my 2 TE ponies and a one of the tiny babies has a couple of cancer spots but none of my others do!
I hope it stays that way :P

Hope this answered your question a little :P
Im sure other more knowledgeable members will have some insight for you  :)

There is some debate as to whether it can actually spread or not. Honestly I have to wonder if there's really any way TO know, because it can just randomly appear at any time on almost any pony...so how are we to know for certain whether a previously cancer-free pony who happened to be placed next to one with several spots didn't just develop cancer on its own?

There are a lot of ponies, TE and otherwise, who are prone to getting it. I know Quackers and Gingerbread are 2 TEs that get it a lot. It's such a pity. =(

I've read somewhere that it is a bacteria that break down the plastic and it is contagious but I don´t know if it's true :/ so it could be anything.
haha but I just wanted to know how you keep them in a plastic bag or something :)
I´am thinking of keeping them in a plexiglas container xD

Its a good point. I just dont want to test it on my collection! I'd regret it as it just isn't curable really. Especially in a country where I cant sun fade as there is just never enough sunshine lol.

Yeah my Sweet Stuff/Sweetie and Masquerade has pony cancer :( Masquerade only has 2 small spots on her leg and back, whereas Sweet Stuff has a few on her back :( I love Masquerade's colours its such a shame! :(

Ive seen loads of Gingerbreads with Cancer too...always put me off buying/trading but maybe now I will if most of them have it! Didnt know about Quackers, how interesting

It cant possibly spread - thankfully :)

Age marks/cancer are a break down in the plastic of the pony - its in the chemical make up of the plastic. That can't jump from one piece of plastic to another so you would be fine to display ponies with this side by side ponies without it.

As far as I know, it's more of an individual pony or environment thing. So, if you are keeping ponies in a container together and one begins to develop cancer, others might as well but not because it is contagious. That's my view on it anyway.

Its not silly - there are some things which will spread of course :) So you were right to think its possible.

Are you really sure of that? :O

Yes :) In all honesty if you search back through the Corral there are lots of threads on this topic. Its a breakdown in the chemical compound of the plastic - that isnt something which can be transmitted from one piece of plastic to another. Each piece of plastic [each pony] is its own unit. The plastic breaks down because of the integrity and issues with that plastic.

If it was as simple as it being spread contagiously then you would end up with lots of different ponies with it. And while it is possible for any pony to develop this issue, it is also true that it is most prone to certain ponies. This is because something in their plastic manufacture causes the breakdown to be faster or simply more likely.
