Sucks to hear that you guys are having to deal with price increases. 

At my Walmart blind bags are $3.87 Canadaian before tax. I don't mind that price but they haven't restocked them in weeks.

They got their first box of light green wave 5s in a few weeks ago and since it got cleaned out no more blind bags have appeared which is odd because the price tag saying blind bags is still there.

My Walmart has gotten in some of the new crystal pony sets however this past week. Such as Whitelestia, Luna, Cadence, and the paint a ponies. I hope they don't start charging more for blind bags where I live.

Is anyone else having problems finding wave 5 blindbags? I still need to find wave 6s and 7s too.

Oh I hope mine doesn't increase their price. It's bad enough that they are charging $3 for the LPS ones. And Kmart used to have both for just 2 bucks but I haven't seen any more since they had the first waves. Blind bags are one of the few things I can afford on my tight budget but if they go up I'll be getting them less often.

A walmart I went to the other day had them marked up to $2.47, but oddly enough, the brushables were $4.

I thought the price changes were a little strange and was waiting to hear if this occurred elsewhere.

Blind bags haven't been restocked in my area but I can say that the brushables were priced at $4.

I hadn't noticed a price increase yet in my area, but I'm sure it eventually trickle down :/ I like them enough, but for what they are, I feel like the 1.98 is almost too much as it is.

Aw really.
Last time I bought BBs from Walmart they were still $1.96. I hope I can find the rest of Wave 7 before the price goes up here too.
$2.47 is still cheaper than everywhere else though.
One of the Target's near me recently raised to something around $3.40 but the other Target I go to still had $2.99 last I checked so I don't really know what's going on there. Toys R Us is still $2.99 I think but I haven't been there in a while, and Hot Topic is $5.50.

If prices are going up I'm going to have to stop buying them all together except for maybe a select few. The amount of money spent on those things really adds up, and the quality just isn't super great...

Meh, less incentive to get my ponies at Wal-Mart is fine by me. My local comic shop has a few pony toys, slightly marked up, but I'd rather buy them from a small local store anyway. Too bad they don't have much selection, but I did get my Crystal Empire Fluttershy there.

Hmm, raised prices on blindbags is no good.  I really don't think they're worth more than $2 each.   I'm not sure I can justify buying them for more than that... Some of them have such cruddy mold seams and others have HORRIBLE paint jobs and you just don't know what you're getting until you open the bag. :/ 

For those of you who are used to getting the blindbags at the old Walmart price ($1.96), you could check to see if your local Kmart carries them.  A Kmart near me had them for $1.99.

Well it seems mine did go up (well at least the good one. I didn't check the one nearer me that is terrible with keeping things stocked) and it seems they are selling even at that price because the box was empty. And it was the wave with the clear ones with the painted manes too.

After the rush on the silly things, you think that retailers WOULDN'T raise the price?  They sold by the CASE by the dozen - that's a astounding success by any retailer's perspective on a toy. 

C'mon now... it's just like Zecora; TRU raised her price but people were comfortable with paying $12 so of course they tried to see if people would pay $16.  :-p
