Just a small hello...

Well, I'm Spooky, I'm 24 and live in Georgia (USA). I'll probably be lurking mostly because my pony collection is pretty small. More accurately, I haven't really started it yet. I have a few G4 blind bags, a half-modded McDonald's toy, a t-shirt... started out watching the show casually, got hooked when I started season two at the side of a Star Trek: The Next Generation fan. Her enthusiasm was catching.

I'm joining up because I just found my childhood pony in a box in my dad's house: a So Soft Fifi. I was starting to miss her, to the point where I was price checking - but now I have her back, so I want to clean her up the best I can! I had one other pony, but I haven't tracked it down yet - something purple with a pink mane I think, a fakie for all I know since nothing I've looked for has jumped out at me yet. But I didn't play with it much because the fuzzy pony was more fun. When I finally get around to collecting, I think I'll start with G1 So Softs - I know I like them and there aren't as many to find!

I occasionally try my hand at art, nothing great, and have come up with a few OCs due to Pony Vs. Pony and Pony Tales. But the main fannish thing I can somewhat competently pull off is cosplay. I'm still brushing up on my skills, but I'm working on a couple Friendship is Magic cosplays for me and my girlfriend (the TNG fan) later this year.

Anyway, I probably won't speak up very often, but hi!

What an interesting introduction. I'm glad you found your childhood Fifi and I hope she cleans up nicely for you.  My first ever pony (Cotton Candy) holds pride of place in my herd even though she is fairly well played with

More thanks! And I do tend to fall into a lurking pattern, but more ponies may draw me out of my shell. That's a great reason to acquire more, right? Right.

Somehow I've been shown all the TNG episodes containing Q, and one DS9 episode where he gets punched in the face. It's a very symbiotic relationship.
