New TRU set for 2013: Who is the purple pony next to :muffin: Pony?

So I saw a video on you tube that gave better pics of the new ponies to be released. I love the G4 line and am super excited about Pony and Diamond Tiara! However...who is the purple pony with yellow hair next to Pony? I am guessing Lyrica but I have never seen the show. She also appears to be wearing a yellow necklace so I was wondering if anyone has a guess as to wether or not it is painted on or removeable.

I wish these ponies were available as singles so I don't have to get the whole set lol. I am not a fan of the others in this group. Lyra also has darker hair in this set.

Yep, it's Lyrica. The accessories seem to be painted on, which is a bit of a bummer, but I'll take what I can get.

Seems pretty random... there are so many secondary characters people would rather see... and earth ponies--BLAH!

Every time I see that Chrysalis...  I really really hope that she was a very preliminary mold and they are working on perfecting the actual one...

I'm glad they kind of chose a pony at random. She's a pretty pony and it's nice to see her get attention she might not normally get.

I ll admit to not being sold on her and I am kind of surprised they didnt include Bon Bon in that set - it seemed perfect considering the Lyra re-release.

She's pretty but yeah, really random choice on Hasbro's part. I think they would have been better off including Golden Harvest or Bon Bon.

She is very pretty though, and it's nice to see unicorn eyes on an earth pony.

I doubt it... it would cost Hasbro more time and money that they don't want to work on just to give a proper mold for that pony...

I'm surprised they did Lyra again! and isn't 'bon bon's name actually something like "Sweetie Drops" (is looking at the blind bags and that's the only pony seen that shows "bon bon's" colors even if she is a clear pony)

Yes, she is officially Sweetie Drops. I have a feeling Bon Bon is still copyrighted somewhere in the food world.

Count me in as another person who was hoping for a brushable Bon Bon or Octavia in place of Lyra. I'm glad the new Lyra is different somehow, but it just seems lazy that they added her when they could have made a whole new brushable. Oh well, painted accessories aside Lyrica's design is pretty nice, and I'm sure it will be fun to style her mane into that beehive once I get her. The more new ponies to diversify my shelf the better; I'm drowning in a sea of pink as it is.

@NoPonySpecial - This is totally off topic, but do I spy a reference to Robot vs the Aztec Mummy below your post count? That's one of my favourite MST3K eps. Dang, now I wanna go watch some...

Before I had Electra...I had a persona named Lyrica. Oh well.

LOL, I am not up to date on the characters but I am still excited for this set. I wish the necklace wasn't painted on. Kinda curious why she has a harp just like Lyra or am I not seeing things correctly.

Oh well...super excited for Diamond Tiera! They need more babies with cutie marks!
