UPDATED FEB 10
i was at the Value Village in my area last week and was astonished at the amount of ponies i got, and the variety of generations. i paid about 11$ for the lot.

ORIGINAL POST
aside from the purchases i've made through the Arena in the last few weeks, it's been several years since i purchased a pony in a shop. i was out of town over the weekend visiting friends, and all i could think about was hitting up the Value Village there. the only time i had been in that Value Village, four years ago, i came home with about twenty ponies! so i was really excited to visit again and see what i could find.
my haul wasn't quite as epic as that last time, but i did walk away with a nice little pile, and paid a little less than 20$ for the lot.

logini was telling one of the friends i was visiting that i had started collecting MLP again. we talked about my collection and since i know she likes MLP i offered to bring her one the next time i visit. she requested a Rainbow Dash since she's her favourite. so i was pretty lucky to find a Dash when i went to Value Village! i can't wait to give her to my friend, i'll be back in two weeks and i can give it to her then.

logini didn't realize that these girls were identical until i was home last night, i was just too happy to find some pegasi that i didn't even notice. i think i'm going to keep both of them in my herd though since she is so lovely, and i can just have twins

loginthese girls are doubles of ones i have in my collection, so after i clean them up, i'm going to make a trade post and see if someone would like to trade them for three G3s i don't have.
AND . . . i found this girl!

loginin all the years i've been hunting Value Village for ponies, i have never seen a G1 before. does anyone know who she is? i don't really collect G1s but i had to rescue her
she's actually less yellow than she is in the picture.
all the ponies and the playset look like they're in good condition and should clean up rather nicely. the G1 will be a bit harder to clean as she looks pretty grimy and has some marks on her, so i'll pop her in the G1 box with the other ladies who need some spa treatment.
all in all i was quite happy with what i found
it felt good to be buying ponies again.
