Build-a-Bear has some quality plushies- I was surprised how nice their non-bear critters look.

I am really looking forward to what they come up with - I guess posting that survey around did help- YAY!

I really hope they do them like Rudolph. I have one from a few years ago (I think they also did a limited re-release this year) and I love how sturdy and soft he is.

Yeah, I just saw the news on Build-a-bear ponies as well!!  There is a Build-a-bear store about an hour and a half from me at the Mall of America.

Well, judging from the Rudolph and Clarice plush they had out a few years back, these could be pretty spot on!  Ooh, I hope they use the super soft fabric like Rudolph and Clarice have..

AS LONG as they make them into ponies. There is a sliver of fear down in the corner of my mind of them trying to do 'Themed' bears and not really pony plush.

I ll admit I wondered on that as on their Facebook page is says "My Little Pony Bears"...not My Little Pony

That's my guess as well. They'll probably be like Clarice and Rudolph.

I'm curious if these are actually ponies, or bears with MLP-themed clothing.  Also wondering which characters will be available, and if the hair is going to look halfway decent.

I've *just* gotten into collecting Build-A-Bear (mainly through the thrift store though I got Kermit as a bday gift) so this is totally awesome news!  I'm super excited!

That's my guess as well. They'll probably be like Clarice and Rudolph.

I will certainly be hoping that as well As you say hopefully just a mis-type.

To be fair, you can dress up a bear to look like a princess and BABW has outfits that cater to that.

I don't know how you'd do that for a pony (not saying you *can't,* mind you. . .)

Wouldn't a My Little Pony Bear just be a Care Bear?

I do know that build a bear does do horse like animals. I remember seeing a unicorn that was like a Uni, not like a bear once in there. So they have done the 4 legged equine like animals before.

I would be interested to see what they look like but really I have so many stuffed animals I don't really know if I'll buy them. Depending on the size maybe the clothing would fit on the giant 18" project pony.
