I'm rather shy, but here goes!  :blush:
I'm a college student and I have just recently started getting into My Little Pony, particularly G1. I had a bunch of G3s growing up that I bought with my own allowance every other week! It was tedious, but I had a happy little collection. My first two ponies, however, were two G1 mail-order baby ponies that were a gift from my teacher. They were insanely special to me. I took them everywhere. Of course, I got older and toys started to go out to garage sales, toy drives and thrift stores. I really miss my ponies and I would like to start rescuing ponies in thrift stores in order to make them beautiful again!  :)
I'm pretty excited to start my new hobby and hope that this board will help me learn the do's and the don'ts of pony restoration. Have a lovely day!

Welcome! A good chunk of my collection are thrift store finds, it is really satisfying to find the poor dirty frizzy hair ponies and making them clean and pretty and looking like new! The arena has a lot of good tutorials on cleaning.
