I have ponies I think are ugly but I cannot even tell you how many ponies/color schemes I was repulsed by until I got on this site and now I find myself questioning all of my dislikes I remember feeling repulsed by g4s and now I not only have all of the reg releases (plus some non) but I think they are so adorable and sometimes I look at them and try to see whatever it was I saw at first that I hated and I CAN'T! I totally don't get how I didn't love these. Is there crack in the packaging or something???

I also hated g2's, now I think they are elegant. I still don't like the 3.5's or most open-mouthed poses, but people make customs all of the time that change my mind and make me think "I WANT THAT!!" I also never liked the 'fat unicorn' (and I am fat) poses like Moondancer even though I LOVE her colors. I really dislike the ballerinas with moving legs a lot.

It would be fun to do a contest with categories of everyone's least faves and see if we can make them appeal to most people who hate them.

Well, I used to think G3.5's were ugly...now, I feel so badly for all the hate they get that I love them too now lol.  Now?  I really can't call any ponies ugly :-P  Even those darn BBE's have a bit of a charm to them for me.  Though I would have to say the BBE's are my *least favourite*, appearance-wise, haha.

I agree that each ponies has some sort of charm to it. Even the funky color combos have a quirk factor.

But, if I had to choose my least favorite, it would have to be the BBE babies. They have elongated necks and, well, blinky eyes that tend to get rusty and totally gave me the heebie-jeebies as a kid.

Who knows, though! They may grow on me yet.... Like the G4s have.

My top picks have been repeated a LOT, so I'm going to not mention BBEs or G3.5 at all in my choices! These are my picks for ugliest: (feel free to chuck fakies at me, I think I might deserve it!)

Symbol: Pillow Talk. It looks like a smock, and I've never been a fan of smiling celestial bodies.
Color Scheme: Springy wins the prize for most clashing colors crammed into one pony! (She's this Colorswirl Pony: http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Springy)
Pose: Baby Surprise Pose, although I have no idea why. The head seems a little too big, but other than that I have no legitimate reason to dislike it.
Set: Teeny Tiny Babies. But then, I'm not a big fan of babies anyway, so...
Quality: I find a lot of nirvana ponies to be quite ugly,  since they are often of a much poorer quality, and it shows in the paint job.
Non-pony: Edgar the Elephant. His face is so poofy...he creeps me out. I even prefer that nasty Edgar fakie that's been floating around. (Seen here: http://www.mlplovers.com/fakie2.htm )
Overall: Yum -Yum, and (sparkle) Baby Firefly. They just...do nothing for me. (Even though I own baby Firefly.  )

I have to join the crowd that thinks no pony is ugly.  I honestly do love them all....BUT judging from my overflowing trade totes I think the BBEs take the trophy.  I have so many of them and I just can't seem to get rid of them no matter how often I try

I never liked BBE ponies... Even without the freaky eyes, there's something seriously off about their poses...

I'm not terribly fond of Twinkle Eyes, either... They just have such a soulless blank stare. D: I do like the designs for some of them, though, like Mimic!

I love G2 adults, but I think the babies are really weird looking. Also, I hate Breezies! DX They are just so fugly!

Wish I had a G2 version of that gif.  I'm kidding though; I respect your opinions.

I hate poses and names more than the ponies themselves.  The G1 Moondancer pose is the worst to me; I love Moondancer to death but that pose doesn't do her any justice!  And the name Soakey Dokey makes me cringe...

Oh yes, some things from the cartoons get me.  It's because of them that I developed a dislike of G3 Pinkie Pie and Daffidaisy (who is this and where the heck is Amberlocks?!).

Ugh some of these ponies are just hideous. Although I really do like G2s and that pink psychedelic pony up there with the guitar... I must find out who he is!

I have two Beddy Bye Eyes but I think they are hideous and scary. And I loathe the big headed "G3.5" ponies. I try to pretend they never existed. Only G1, G2, G3, and G4 in my little world.
Oh! One more. G3 Cheerilee... At least in G4 they changed her appearance slightly but she looked like a simplified Cherry Blossom and that's all.

I'm not one to say that any G1s are ugly (...srsly compared to some other gens...) but... Shady has always rubbed me the wrong way. I really don't like that pose, but the colors are too brash, even as a SS... I know what's hiding under your fluff Shady! TOO BRIGHT! MY EYES!!

I must admit, I did get bit of a fright when i pulled a really baity BBE baby cuddles out of a lot box.  I don't mind the other BBEs, but the ones in that cuddles pose look so unnatural, their faces are all sunken. 

Ponyvilles. I don't like the G3 so soft newborns at all either...ugh, I just googled to double check I was calling them the right thing and I found this:
