I got rid of the mold... how do I get rid of the smell?
« on: November 12, 2012, 02:55:28 PM »
A bit ago I asked how I go about getting rid of mold in my Baby Tic Tac Toe. Thanks to some awesome responses I was able to get rid of it. However, the smell still remains so I am now curious what i can do to get rid of that.... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :) I am scared that using bleach would cause her washer inside to rust.

if you use bleach be sure to dilute it greatly as not to harm the pony. Other than that try some baking soda that might help.

Kitty litter, baking soda or fresh air. All of the above are pretty much the best way to remove a smell/scent which is lingering on a pony.

Place the pony in a sealed container along with a dish of litter or soda to absorb or neutralise the smell. After a week or so, give the pony time to breath in a location where there is fresh air and then repeat the process until the smell is gone.

You dont need something as dangerous as bleach for this to be honest and you then run the risk of the pony smelling of bleach.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Yeah, bleach would corrode the washer. Wait until she is 100% dry and seal her in a container lined with fresh baking soda for a few weeks at least. be sure to have her on top of a fabric scrap so she's not in direct contact with the soda.

Thanks everyone :) I just hate to upgrade her when she is in perfect shape other than the nasty mold smell inside her body.
