10 Customs in 30 Days - Challenge has begun!

I'm in on this. I have started my first custom, but I'll be playing catch-up a little bit. I will have plenty of time to work tonight and tomorrow. ^_^

Well, I think it's safe to say I've made progress! The pony formerly known as Lyra has had her cutie mark and eyes sealed, and she's been tagged on the bottom of the one hoof (which also was selaed), so all she needs is her hair now. The pony formorly known as Trixie has two layers of body paint on, and I hope I have the fourth and final layers on the two styling ponies I already started. I also started working with some of the babies that are in the background of the pic, as inspiration struck. Not sure whether to count them for the challenge or not, since they weren't part of it originally. And now - bed! G'night all!

Yay on the progress, everyone!  I have seven pony heads currently on "spikes" to dry.  I'm hoping to have two of them completely finished with their painting tomorrow (probably have to wait on rehairing - not sure if I have all the colors I need!), should have two more of the heads finished with painting and *probably* rehaired tomorrow (bodies still have to be sculpted, though), and three more in progress, but awaiting better reference pics.  I think I'm going to concentrate on sculpting tomorrow and see where that lets me end up.  If I get a pic tomorrow, it'll be like a fun guessing game to find out who's going to be who!

Im so looking forward to tonight being my last night of work for the week. Then I get a three day "weekend". Im hoping to accomplish a LOT in those three days.

Pony #3 is done (she was almost done the other day, then I ruined her a bit and had to walk a way for a bit ).  Also, most of my ponies are mostly done. I did more sculpting on ponies 5&6 tonight and some hairing done on #4. I have to focus on dollie clothes tomorrow but I am hoping to get at least one more by the weekend done. Also, going to try dying hair tomorrow...

I forgot I also got the 2 unstripped ponies bald. Yay!

Also hoping to get photos tomorrow of the 3 I finished since none of them are top secret

I love how we all have more than one gen in our pile of to-do's. My question is: how many are ponies for others and how many are ponies for ourselves? I think 5 are for me 2 are commissions and 3 are for private swaps.

Hmm, almost all the ponies I'm doing are for myself. There are two of them I might give away as Christmas presents

I have prepped all the baits and painted two ponies midway.


I also have a question: Do rehairs count? I wouldn't think so but had to ask.

I think rehairs count! rehairing is one of my least favorite chores.

Hmm I cant honestly say that any of mine are for me. I don't really customize ponies just for myself. I love selling or giving them away, and I just don't have much room for customs here.

Queen Chrysalis started out as for me, but I will probably wind up selling her.

The one with the feathered wings I made just to try making wings.. I got this far with it only to realize I was making it WAY too hard on myself by doing just tiny feathers. I have taken a hammer to the wings once already and I am sorely tempted to do it again!

Maniah-Love the Sailor Moon pony!  I'm also planning a Sailor Moon themed one.

Only one of my planned customs is a commission, the rest are just ideas I had floating around and never finished

I think I'm going to have to start over on my persona peacock pony for Seren. I'm having paint scmear issues, and I don't like it. I'll have to acetone the bait tomorrow - it's too dark out right now, and I already made the basement smell like acetone for a few days earlier this week (mom claims she can still smell it, so I don't think she'd be happy about me doing that again! ).

Meanwhile, yellowy pony has received more layers, so I may be able to do her cuties soon.

5 of the 13 I posted are commissions- but over all I have 25 pony projects being worked on that will be done this month and out of that 15 are commissions, 2 are for swaps and 8 are for me. I decided to put the for me ones in this challenge because they always get pushed to the side and not finished~ It will encourage me to work extra hard and not only finish my commissions but put in the extra effort to do my own projects as well.

Uninu- I'm counting my Shady re-hair/deflock but mostly because I want motivation to finish her~ she's been kicking around with about 90% of her deflocking done for months...
