Sticker Albums?
« on: October 31, 2012, 03:07:38 PM »
Did you use to buy these? What series did you had?

I have the first Pokémon album complete with the poster and all - my pride and joy ! I also have the very first Dragon Ball one, also complete. Then I had some Pokémon stickers that came with bubble gums back in the days, but I don't have all of them. I used to have a handful of Pokémon sticker cards, but I ended up getting bored and giving those away to a school friend back then.

Do you still do sticker albums? I would love to do the Moshi Monster albums mainly because it would be a nice way to browse for inspiration, but I have other things to spend my money on xD

Anyway, tell me about your experience with these ! :D

I had them when I was a child, much to my parents' s distress!
The Little Mermaid is one I completed, as well as one with horses. Still have them.
When my ex cleared out his childhood stuff, we found Masters of the Universe and 2 Transformers, almost complete. I claimed them for myself, hehe.

I also collected cards from Beverly Hills 90210 and Jurassic Park I, those I have completed as well.

I always collected Lisa Frank stickers - I still have tons.  I had an Animals of Farthing Wood sticker book when I was like, 8.  I wish I still had it.

By sticker album, I refer to an album of random stickkers that you would collect and trade.  Usually sandilion stickers...not a set of something (though I had a BSB book that was like that..never completed it. I think thats what you are referring to but its not what I would call an album^^)

As far as my collection goes, I still have it and it was the thing to do when you were small. Youd bring it to school and trade stickers.  I still have mine^^

I have always loved sticker albums!  Of the Panini variety, I had Barbie and Jem. I wish I had gotten some of the big lots of Jem books and stickers they were getting rid of at KB toys about 20 years ago, but I was about 16 and in that silly 'cool' phase.

Once awakening from said phase, I resumed my sticker collecting with Lisa Frank. I now have been collecting any stickers I like, and have a few albums. I LOVE any stickers that are from the 80s, or look like they are.

As for trading cards, I have the full set of old NES cards from the 80s, with all scratch cards intact. Can you believe they were only 25 cents a packet?

I also have quite a few Sonic and Garfield cards. My BFF got me started collecting MLP cards :)

Melodys_Angel, I remember when collecting stickers was THE cool thing to do in elementary school!  Then, it was erasers, which I still love. I like the newer, more complicated little erasers they have today, too.

Well, I had a MLP sticker album when I was really little. It didn't last long and ended up destroyed because well, parents refusing to buy more stickers + preschooler imagination + craft stationary = disaster :P It was horribly tattered within a few months and then, well, I've never seen it again.

Stickers used to be the thing when I was in grade school (way back in the mists of yesteryear, and when dinosaurs roamed the earth, according to my son).  I had one of those photo albums with all kinds of stickers in, mostly sheets of elaborate Victorian-style cutout stickers and Sandylion stained-glass looking ones, and any scented, puffy or google-eyed stickers that might have been put on good assignments.  Our teachers were cool with their stickers, they had the best ones!  Later, my pony puffy stickers went in.  Don't know what ever became of that...

Of Panini-type albums, I completed a Lion King one and gave it to my bf at the time.  There ought to be a My Little Pony Panini album, that'd rock!

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

I also had an album to collect random stickers! It was in grade 5 when this was THE craze! We collected and swapped them. So much fun!
Still have mine, I especially loved the animals with fur coating.
