What if I say I'm not like the others...?

Oh, for a while now I've pondered what to do,
but then it struck me, I'll write my own introduction to you!
As it took me some time to do,
I'll present it in the form of a simple rhyme or two!

Allow me to weave a story for you,
paint a picture, simple and true,
a story, divided into three,
a picture, for some of you to see,
how nothing, and everything,
really have no lines drawn between,
how nothing, and everything,
is both you and me...
It is only a dream that we all share,
a dream that will, eventually,
return to the stars, undoubtably,
like a madman's ramble, it is neverending,
like an addict's gamble, it is life-rending...

A question you may ponder,
I imagine it is the same I often wonder,
where am I from,
and what have I done?
I've travelled lands, far and wide,
and watched the coin land on all of its sides.
I have seen the silent waters flow towards and against,
and thought I lost my love beneath the fountain of starlight,
so I drifted slowly into a state of dreams,
only to witness it crack from the seams,
yes, I guess it's really starting to show,
but that's as much as you, for now, need to know...

At a very young age,
I began to rattle the cage,
I noticed there to be no gain,
in worshipping a monument of pain,
so call me not a slave to power or greed,
just a passionate being of no particular creed,
of these things, and much much more,
I sing, I growl, I write and I roar...

A nature's beast I am, 'tis a fact I do not hide,
a beast with a goddess walking by my side,
with hair of woven gold and eyes so playfully blue,
matched only by her beauty that always shines through,
the paths that she walks on, no one goes,
the secret of her smile, no one knows...

Alas, again I find myself going astray,
now to correct myself, if I may...

So, what do I do currently,
what does my journey now hold for me?
Writing my thesis of so called mastery,
about nothing that is true, mere illusions and slavery,
always in fashion, the glittering greed,
it's only about the want, and not the need.
Everything done so callously and carelessly,
for things that are worthless but oh so glossy,
not needed, but still wanted,
not needed, but still so desired,
it truly is a tragedy by choice,
each time innocence loses its voice...

I know not whether friendships truly are magic,
but I do know that ultimately, most are tragic,
I am not a member of any brotherhood,
nor have I ever wanted to, even if I could,
for five and three years have I seen the plastic beauties,
for five and three years now, and my statement is,
one, two and three, but not four or more,
five, six and I will lose track of the score,
to state a favourite from a plastic equine species,
it would have to be that one particular Peachy,
gifted to me on a cold and wintry day,
along with the words she had to say,
I will never forget them,
no, not until the end...

Alas, for now, no more shall I bare,
since time fleets, we must now part,
I ask you to keep in mind, if you care,
that it's not the end - but hopefully the start!



Before I get ahead of myself again,
before I lose myself towards no end,
one more thing before I leave these words behind,
one more thing before I lose myself in time,
the reason behind my sudden introduction,
lies in quite a recent conversation,
it occured in the midst of all the fun and games,
and lasted a while longer after the exchange of names,
'twould be truly nice to talk with you again,
so if you should recognize yourself, do pick up your virtual pen,
and as we both promised there at the venue,
I'll introduce myself here and then you,
say hello or hi,
but for me now, goodbye...

the answer is found below, behind no trickery.

Though some would so deem,
not everything is as it seems,
if one's mind is so narrow and carved out hollow,
one cannot think, merely act on instinct or follow,
ageless questions of where, when and what,
ah, but in reality they matter not,
assumption is where it all begins,
underestimation is what follows, and tragedy ensues,
foolish action is where it both ends and begins anew,
like a curtain call with new actors just waiting for their cue,
the lines may change, but the essence remains the same,
both the winners and the losers share the blood and the name,
soak their hands in the shame,
with only themselves to blame,
age is of no importance,
as colour makes all the difference,
green, orange, yellow, red or blue,
but where has the snake landed you?

and I know not whether to be amused or to scoff.
