Trading Card Problems
« on: October 17, 2012, 07:26:50 PM »
I didn't know that the MLP trading cards existed until late evidently, I found some a month or two ago on the hot topic website and got one pack. After that I figured I could buy some at Walmart...well I can't..nor can I at another Walmart in a different town.

Now that I know of these amazing cards do they no longer exist?! Have all the stores figured out I want them and hidden them from me!? Where did you guys get your trading cards? Maybe I can find them elsewhere in town.

Enterplay just reprinted them so they should be showing up in stores again. My Target doesn't have them yet but hopefully soon! There's also a 3 ring binder you can get with an exclusive 6 hologram card set you can get from Toywiz or Enterplay. It only comes with one card protector sheet, but you can buy a big pack of those for cheap.

I saw the binder online when I was trying to find something the other day, but I can't see myself spending that much on it. However yay for a reprint! Maybe my walmart will get them eventually!

Check Kmart if you have one near you.  That is the only store here right now that still has some and that's from the first production.  They are a little more expensive than Target.

Yes you can find them at multiple locations including some Walmarts, most Targets, TRU, KMart, and Hot Topic. Also if you have any smaller chain stores that have items that are 'in' right now, you might check there. We have a chain store here called Newbery Comics and they have MLP trading cards and blind bags. Also a chain called FYE (For Your Entertainment) might have them.

There's also ordering online, and checking the MLP Arena trading forum, because there's 10+ pages of people selling their duplicate cards there. :)

I can't find them anywhere over here either, besides rip off hot topic! Though I did see empty boxes twice at target, but they never re stocked. Good thing I'm not into card collecting.

I believe the problem as people have mentioned is that Enterplay the manufacturer actually ran out of stock which means they have been in limited supply to most major stores. However, the date for new stock was 25th September so allowing for a 2 week cycle for them to get from supplier to DC to store they should certainly be showing up in better quantities soon enough.

I believe a lot of people however seem to have great luck by purchasing a starter box set and working to complete the set of the common cards from there through trading.

Good luck on starting your collection!

I went to the trading card section at walmart and a woman was stocking things, she looked at me and went 'You were the one looking for My Little Pony trading cards! We just got them last week!' and got what they had for me. I ended up buying a few card packs and a tin that has 6 card packs, a twilight foil card, and a checklist/poster.

I'm so glad they have started coming back in!
