Signature Jackson, Venus and Robecca and Spectra and Ghoulia have Kanekalon hair which I am not the biggest fan of
Gloom Beach Jackson and everyone else has saran hair

I do not like Signature Jackson's hair but I haven't bothered to wash it since he just sits on my shelf and I have several other GB Jacksons.

and yes, the tattoo is an awesome touch and was rather surprised to find it on Holt when I got him way back when and again on GB Jackson. So much detail :3

I think the 1999 thing is because it may be the same body mold as another Mattel doll, most likely Ken. I have no clue about any boy dolls, because I don't have any at this time, but that is my best guess ^.^

That's what I was thinking too. Although the MH boys look to be smaller than Ken, at least in pictures. I don't have any MH boys to do an in-person comparison, though...

Maybe not Ken, but what about Kevin, Skipper's boyfriend? I don't know if there was one made in '99, but there were several of him made in the '90s when I was a kid and he was smaller than Ken.

Yeah, there's no way these boys are made from Ken molds-- I don't remember Kevin at all... it's possible.

I still need to wash my guy up. I hadn't planned to de-gel his hair, but I need to get the more stubborn little strays off him, and after seeing how cute he looks with a rinse, maybe...

His hair is sooooooooo much nicer once you get rid of that gel! So soft and real. I trimmed him up too, got rid of the super long hairs that were randomly on the side....

I hated Holt because he was everywhere. Now that I can't find him, I want him haha.

Really, wowers. I have never seen Holt in person and  Cleo and Deuce I haven't seen for a little over a year now. The last place I saw them was a Family Dollar store and I should have got them then.

Oh lucky!  I would love that Cleo doll, not so much Deuce because I think he needs to look more muscular and less my-head-is-bigger-than-my-body looking (I adore him in the webisodes).  I started collecting only a month and a half ago so I never saw them in stores.
