Strange items that you see selling high on Ebay - List 'em!
« on: October 03, 2012, 09:42:10 PM »
I was browsing through ebay, trying to gauge some prices for some of my kids toys that I'm planning on unloading soon.  Blues Clues is one of those things that is slowly fading from our household.   But I've held onto our foam Thinking Chair for a bit, as they still fit in it (even though they no longer sit in it, they wrestle on top of it!).  But low and behold...it's selling for major $$$ on ebay!  Anywhere from $20-$100!  :surprise:  So...it just might be leaving my house sooner than I though!

Also, my vintage Talking Mother Goose (like Teddy Ruxpin) is a major money bringer too!  I was going to part with her as well, I've got over 13 tapes and books to go with her, plus both outfits for her - but I wouldn't know how to ship her.

Which got me thinking - what other items have you found on ebay that absolutely shocked you for the price?  High or low...  I curious!  ^_^

The Super Nintendo E.V.O cartridge.

I paid 15 bucks for mine. Honestly? It's a great game in concept but it's buggy as heck, requires a lot of grinding and has seriously annoying music. I figure its cult status comes from people who've never actually played it :P

Aw... I loved that game

Then again, it has major nostalgia value for me!

Being a big advocate of checking the prices on vintage toys before discarding them, I gave some advice to a friend of mine who had some Blythe dolls. Turns out the one she has one that has been selling on eBay for $800-$1000 bucks!!!!

Oh man, I'm jealous. I have actually played the game on an emulator - from start to finish. Several times. I'd love to have it on cart someday, but not for more than maybe... 20 dollars?

Probably a vintage Kenner, then. Those things are definitely pricey!

There was crazy stuff being sold when eBay first came out. Didn't someone pay an inordinate amount of money for a piece of cereal that looked like Nixon or something?
I'll put something here some time

I remember that a woman once sold off the name of her child on eBay ... of course Golden Palace bought it.  XD
