Posting this now because yesterday was an absolute mess; and I forgot.I was coming home from class yesterday morning and decided to stop at a local thrift store to look for some toys to use for various homework projects. (fun little things for still life's and what not; oh the pain of being an art student)
So I wandered on back to the toy isle of the thrift store and didn't find much...until I got to the end of the isle. And it was there that I saw my favorite gen 1 pony, Moondancer.
I pulled Moondancer out only to discover four other gen 1 ponies, and one adorable fakie.
I couldn't find any other ponies so I looked around a bit more, ended up in the VHS section, found a few movies I loved to watch as a little girl, and grabbed a couple of books.
And I somehow managed to get all five ponies (my first gen 1's and fakie!), the movies, and the books for $7.
(I don't have any pictures of any of them yet, and they all need a really good cleaning, but I think I know who they all are thanks to some research yesterday) (I'll try to get some before cleaning and after cleaning pictures soon!)
1-Moondancer, who is sadly in very rough shape. (cancer spots, no tail, very nasty looking insides, cutie mark nearly gone, might have mold) D:
2-Bow Tie, who looks to be in pretty good shape. (as far as I can tell)
3-Princess Royal Blue, whose body color is either faded or very very teal, but otherwise looks pretty good. (still has her jewel moon cutie mark thing, no rust on her tinsel)
4-Caramel Crunch, who looks pretty good, and still smells okay. (though her hair is a severely tangled mess)
5-Speedy, who looks good as far as I can tell.
6-The Fakie, pink bodied with hearts on her hooves. (nothing too remarkable about her and no big problems that I could find)
They all need a good cleaning and I'm not really sure where I'll put them, but they're my first gen 1's (and fakie) so they're special.
...and I think I'll head back to that thrift store just in case they have any more I can save.
