are you a use the codes to figure it out collector or a just guess collector?

Also do you keep the cards or ditch em?

I use the codes, and I keep the cards.  Though I need cards for the lot I got from a china seller.

I've used the codes for wave 1 but for 3 and 4 I didn't have the codes so I just grab a few. I keep the cards

Codes all the way, unless I forget to bring a reference sheet.
I keep the cards, but I don't really want them, they don't even have cool foreign languages on them since I'm in the US. But I would feel bad throwing them out, so I just chuck 'em in my Pony Miscellaneous bucket, and they settle at the bottom like so much silt.

I am a code checker most definitely because I don't like having doubles if I can help it (I keep a list in my wallet of the ones I need) and I do keep the cards in a binder.
Things are getting a little off now though that Emerald Ray and the mini figure sets don't have a cards and I just broke and bought the TRU set with Blossomforth, Lulu Luck and Rainbow Flash from wave 2 in it but now I won't have cards for them either. I'll have to get over having cards for all of them I guess.

I've never had to use the codes because I bought whole boxes of wave 1, 3, and 4, and I keep the cards.

LOL Nopony, I might need to PM you and see if you have the ones I am missing from Wave 4.  I am putting mine in a book, with my G3 stickers or maybe give them there own.  We only buy the special ones (besides of course Minty) so unless Wave 6 has more we are done after two more of Wave 4.

I use the codes if I'm afraid of getting duplicates, but not always. Sometimes it's fun to be surprised! I do keep the cards because I might as well.

I keep the cards and the bags! I pick up a few that I really want based on the codes, but usually also grab one random one, just so I can get a surprise too. Appropriately, the "random" pony I got on my first trip buying Wave 3s was Bitta Luck!

...I didn't go Euro yet...my mom is afraid I'll be going Euro yet

Edit: Oh fudge. I forgot to answer the main thing on the topic! Yes I use codes when I go shopping, or buy a whole case online^_^

Typically use the codes and keep the cards. My last bb purchase, however, I threw caution to the wind and just grabbed the five that were left in the box. Luckily, no duplicates!

I use the codes and I keep the cards, the inserts (the little foldable thing from wave 1), and one bag per wave. My cards end up in a sports card book I found ages ago. They're cool to look at once in a while.

A book is a good idea! I wonder if I have room in my old Pokémon card binder...
Regrettably,  I can't help you with Wave 4 cards, since I don't collect the "special" ones, like the glittery ones. Sorry! Man, was I annoyed when I found out an entire wave of toys was going to be ones I don't even want...

LOL see Thoth and I where super stoked about it cause we both love sparkly and shinny so we will have that whole wave when we are done.
