G3.5... Is there anyone that prefers them?

I know that there are a LOT of people who prefer G1 G3 or G4 and even a select few who's favorites are the g2's..
But is there anyone here who acutally likes G3.5 as their favorite gen?
Someone who finds these strange bobbleheaded creatures just irresistible?

I don't think I will find a collector who likes them above the others!

I love the G3.5s like crazy... I prefer them over G4 and G2 and maybe even G3.

I can't say they are my favorite, but I do love them lots! As silly as they kind of are, I do think they are very sweet.

I don't prefer them (actually g4 has turned into my favorite gen next to g1), although they have grown in me quite a bit. I was looking at some old toy fair photos from three years ago, when g3.5 was new, and I actually wouldn't mind having some of them.

I don't really have one, and I stare at them attempting to determine how they make me feel. I'm undecided if they are cute, creepy or creepy/cute.

I have a few McD's and one boxed Pinkie Pie. I wouldn't go out of my way to find and buy them, but I won't pass them up at a thrift store/flea market or garage sale.

I like them but i don't "prefer" them.
I think it's hard to prefer them with there being so very few characters and everything. I'm sure G3.5 would have had more fans if the line lasted longer and had more variation.

They are OK, but I don't prefer them. The only ones I collect are the ones for my MIB Cheerilee collection.

Whew,finally not afraid to admit it!I just adore them!And I prefer those gals more than some of the generations!Even gotta say,G1,G3 and G3.5 still fight for my favorite generation!
I don't understand why the people hate them Is it the lack of characters or what?G3.5 grew on me in the moment I saw them-those chubby heads,big eyes and eyelashes and very cute poses.And the mom idea they had was great!Unfortunately,I'm still seeking for Scootaloo and Starsong.They are out of stock in all the online stores in Bulgaria and I'm not allowed to buy from other stores.I was out of my skin when I found the rare TAF Toola Roola,but maybe just gotta wait and search closer for those two!

I like G3.5 customs, but very few Hasbro ponies.

Although my favs are the G1s, I must say my second favs are the G3.5s. I was suspicious at first, I admit, but when I got a couple of them, I fell in love ! Now I am only missing the TAF Cheerilee to have the complete TAF set~ I may, however, end up with the moms as well... But yes, I do adore hem to bits. They have SO MUCH HAIR and it's always so soft and silky... and I must say they look much better in person than in any pics I've seen so far - it's one of those things you can only know for sure when you actually have one on your hand~

I'm warming up to them (I actually think the Ponyville figures look pretty now ). But I can't say I prefer them to any other Gen.

Aw, that makes me sad to hear people say they are afraid to show love for their favorite gen on a board dedicated to all gens!

Honestly, I only prefer 3.5's art style and the Ponyville toys to g3's previous offerings. So I do see positive things in it! It's not my thing, but I can see why it has its defenders. If the toys had looked more like the art, I could have been a fan. The toys themselves just didn't do anything for me.

Every time it's brought up here, people genuinely want to know why it's so reviled. So I thought I'd share some examples of why. It doesn't have much to do with the core 7, since a lot of the hate I see is from non-collectors as well.

Here, chief amongst the anti-3.5 complaints that I've seen:

1.Popeye legs. Trying to imitate chibi anime style without really getting what "chibi" really looks like.
2.Open, toothless human infant mouths, more human-like faces.
3. Newborn Cuties. Especially the cartoon.
4. Their legs look like they have no bones. Or bend like human legs with the baby ponies!
5. Looks like Bratz MLP with wall-eyes.
6. "Boxy" look to the face and body.
7. They look a little like G2 LPS, because the same person designed them.

Still, I wish people would just nicely state why they dislike something instead of acting like everyone who likes it has no taste. To quote a song, "Just because you don't like it, don't mean it ain't no good!"

They aren't my favorite generation, but I still love them. The only one I need out of the Core 7 is Toola-Roola. Then I also need their moms. I'll try to post a picture of my 3.5s tonight or something.
