Since the glue seepage thing has been on my mind thought I would ask about this :P

Since boiling water "melts" the glue little by little would it be possible to give a doll afew soaks a day for about a week? Making it all melt out? I wonder if that would help with the seepage?! Hmmm...

The only problem with that might be the hair falling out with nothing to hold it in!

Isnt the hair rooted then glued over just for extra security!?  Thats what I had in mind, if not then my idea was completely useless XD

I THINK that the MH girls are rooted in the way that the hair is poked into the head and the glue holds it in place :) I don't think it's knotted or anything!

It could make it worse.

im so upset we cant find any permanant solutions to this hair glue thing!!!  :bawl: Only thing that seems to work temporarily is goof off 2 I havent tried it yet. Hearing eventually the seepage will have to stop at some point. But how long will that take?  -.-  Its just upsetting when Mattel is not helping us AT ALL with this, they know about the glue problems and have for awhile. Nothing has been done... Now my Robecca is starting to show beginning signs of glue seepage!!!! For some reason this glue seepage really depresses me.

Pukunui, you always have such great photos :D

I can't say anything about the glue problem, I haven't noticed it in my dolls. I haven't played with my dolls in a while though, maybe there is a nasty surprise waiting for me

I noticed a teeeny tiny "wet" spot on the packaging when I deboxed Venus. But that's about it with my dolls. I'm guessing my Rochelle have it too. But we have a pretty cold climate here and in the hobby room its pretty cool too so I guess it's convenient :) I've yet to meat a doll with real issues, and I'm not even sure what to look for, anyone have any good pics of the seepage? :S

I'm surprised, I have been very lucky with having more then helpful employees in my area. A lot of them go out of their way to help me too. Every once in awhile I get the person who is either useless or just doesn't care, more often then not though people are more then willing to help me find what I am looking for and hold it for me.

The local Toys R Us seems to have about 20 or so of her.  Every time we go in to look for Venus, it's just shelves full of b&w Frankie.
