Hey there, glad to be here!
Fact: Ostriches can run faster than horses, and the males can roar like lions.
It's not relevant but at least you can say you learned something!
My name is Bucky, Bucky Cirrus. I'm a 23 year old male and a fairly new MLP fan, mainly into the G4 series.
I grew up in Hawai'i, moved all over the states and now currently residing in Livonia, Michigan with my fiancee.
I attended the University of Hawai'i for a few years and majored in Music Composition but had to leave due to personal finances, and thus had to leave the State. Cost of living was and still is, unfavorable...
My friends, the little that I have mean the world to me. They're always there to lend a helping hand, offer comfort, and even a place to stay when I had no where else to go.
Collecting G4 ponies became my newest hobby, it's actually my only collection of anything ever. I don't know how to customize or anything like that, and I don't really brush their hair or play with them so I just keep them in their packages. They mostly hold memories and are nice reminders of the Friendship is Magic show. Sure they're just plastic, but they are good distractions from all the depression that goes on all around us.
After watching FiM Season One, I loved it! And wanted something tangible and 3-Dimensional. The ponies weren't pricey and the varieties peaked my interest of collecting them. I'm currently in pursuit to collect all blindbags but only have a fraction of wave one and four.
Since I just moved to Michigan, I've been job hunting. At the same time I take little detours to Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Meijer's, etc. and check to see what's new or restocked. Sure it's rather creepy for a male adult to buy toys intended for little girls, but I could care less about what others concoct within their own minds about someone they don't even know. Besides it's silly to stand there with a straight face and try to explain something to someone who clearly already made up their mind about you. And reacting nervously will just boost the creepiness level way up in any stranger's eyes. To each their own!
Sorry about the rant, but at least everyone knows what wavelength I'm on.
The collection isn't consistent, it's whatever I can buy and don't have at the time.
A few blindbags as I've mentioned earlier, the five dollar ponies usually seen at Walmart and a few of the free posters, Target exclusive sets that are the same size as the blindbags, also the mini plushes, and the McDonalds toys when they were available way back when. Lastly a few shirts from WeLoveFine.
I hope to collect other generation ponies as I become more learned over time.
I just bought my fiancee her SDCC
Pony, she's very giddy about it.
My first pony ever bought was G4 Applejack.
If you want to chat or know more, send me a message! I'm already enjoying my stay.
