Why do I torture myself? :(

This is exactly why I stay FAR away from Ebay.  I have NO money right now, and I know if I were to go on Ebay, even just for "window-shopping" I'd get depressed/bitter because I have no money to spend on all the pretty ponies...   So I just stay away from it completely.

I don't have anymore spending money this month on ponies, yet I keep looking at all sorts of sites where they sell ponies. The Arena sales threads, Ebay, Etsy, Bonanza, Taobao and so forth and I find sooo much that I would love to get my hands on.

Why oh WHY am I torturing myself like this? Anyone else find themselves doing this too or is it just me? >.< And if you do, how do you manage to controll yourself cuz' I don't know if I can lol.

Oh, me too. Being in the Wishlist Swap helps a little bit by restricting me from getting ponies not on my wish list!

I feel your pain!!! I recently bought two Wave 1 blind bags for my 3 yr old and 5 yr old daughters for no reason. When they started actually PLAYING with them, I got panicky, took them away when they were distracted (LOOK! Princess Cadance and Celestia need to comb their hair for the WEDDING!) and then went to Target and bought the ENTIRE box of Wave 1's (including the box). Now I've been to 2 Wal-Marts, 1 Walgreens and 2 TRU's in the last 4 days looking for Wave 3 or 4 and online searching as well. This is after I just bought Red Roses AND Ditzy Doo as part of my 4-pony birthday gift from DH! Yeah, we won't mention the 4 I just bought from Hasbro Toy Shop, the Luna I bought on ebay, the 2 FS ponies I found and bought at Walgreens today while on my BB hunt (how could I leave Fluttershy and Celestia behind?) and the Royal wedding FS Cadance/SA set I bought as a "keep in package" for myself since I just bought DD one for her bday in 2 days!!! I need an intervention!!!! And I need a Zecora. AND a White Celestia. AND The Apple Family. ARGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I do the same thing! Best to just stay away from the sales forum and any sites that might tempt like ebay or taobao. I'll go for weeks without looking at ebay if I have no money because I know the minute I take a peek, the next thing I know I'm bidding

I do this constantly because I have the fear that the one day I dont check will be the day that i miss a rare item that has been on my wish list for ages!
Has only happened once, but i dont let that stop me!

I try to do what some of you guys suggested, go and have a look at all the ponies I do have and give them some love. But when I do that I just end up thinking: "You need a new friend, I better go see if there's one for you on Ebay" >.<

I really should just stay away from those sites, but like some of you guys I keep thinking "What if I miss the deal of a lifetime or that one pony I REALLY want?!"

I have NO spare money at the moment at all - nothing whatsoever to spend on treats. But I will still look on eBay. I can stay away from everywhere else apart from eBay I do bid on eBay but I put silly low bids on, so if I win it's an amazing bargain. 99.9% of the time I get outbid though.

Don't worry, I do that too! But when I'm out of money and I find a pony I like I bookmark the page and hope the pony won't be sold when I finally have enough money. What I also do is write the name of that particular pony down somewhere and then later I go and search for it and sometimes I find if cheaper than first time!

I always have like 10 ponies in my Ebay watch list. I have to just watch them end and never bid! I do the same thing! I need ponies!
