hi, i'm new here. my name is empirical, i'm 28, and i'm from indiana(U.S.). i collected ponies from the the time i was 5(1989) until i was 9(1993). i had somewhere between 40 and 60 ponies, thanks to the fact that my grandmother thought they were adorable. i somehow managed to keep them all in near perfect condition until about a year and a half ago. a friend of mine's house burned down and they lost everything. needless to say, her little girl didn't have any toys, so i opted to part with my collection. i'm not currently collecting them but this forum takes me back to those days.

as a side note: i'm currently collecting monster high dolls, which (while lurking) i noticed that some of you are as well. i'm also kind of interested in the new novi stars dolls that are coming out, i just haven't decided whether or not i want to collect them.

That was so sweet of you to give your childhood ponies to your friend's daughter.  A house fire is one of my worst fears!  I hope you enjoy the forums

it was hard to part with them, that's for sure, but it was for a good cause. she calls them her babies. it's adorable.
