Hello...again

Hi, I'm Baskersmom. I am not new to the arena, but it has been a couple years so I thought I should reintroduce myself.

I started collecting in the 80's. Ponies were rewards for good report cards! I started collecting again a few years ago. I have mostly G1 and some G3. I do not activily collect anymore, but most of my herd is on display in my craft room. I have a pretty big Bow Tie collection as she is my favorite. I also have 3 MLP tattoos.

I am married. It was my husband that got my back into collecting. He got my Heart Throb for Valentines one year when we were dating. He has also joined me for 2 MLP conventions. We got married while we were in Las Vegas for one in 2004.

Unfortunatly one of my main reasons for "getting back into the community" is we are about to go through some major changes in our life and I will need to sell a big chunk of my collection. I will be keeping my favorites including my bowtie collection and commisioned customs from wonderful artists like Sevenbells. I will be parting with most of my G3's, and some of my G1's including international ponies and mail orders like Rapunzel. I have not sold on the boards ( I was also on the Trading Post) or on eBay for a while, but i have very good (i think 100%) feedback on all of them.

While I still love MLP they don't give me the same joy they used to. The ones I am keeping give me joy and are filled with fond (mostly childhood) memories.

Sorry you have to part with your collection. The Arena is a great way to find them new homes where they'll be loved.

Thanks guys! Don't be too sorry for me. Doing this is another step to following my dream. I will be quiting my job of 15 years (10 of which I hated) and going back to school to be a vet tech and wildlife rehabilitator. My husband and I will be moving 6 hours north.
Plus, hopefully I will be able to help someone else achieve their pony joy!
