If it helps,

Out of 15 molded pinkie pie's I have, there are 5 numbers. About 4-5 have the three numbers I mentioned, and 2 have other numbers.

I think that more numbers that you get, from the ponies from the same time periods would be useful-- than just going off your own. :)

Cool, those are all numbers I would expect to see for those Pinkies. Very interesting  Thank you for your suggestions.

I am definitely planning on checking for other people's numbers, too, I will just do a preliminary investigation of my ponies since I have so many and they are from a good combination of countries including Netherlands, US, China, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden etc. too. I do have some repeats, but not enough to get a good set of data for one particular release of pony, so asking people will definitely come in handy.

I was going to make this graph anyways out of personal interest before this thread came up :P

My SKywishes has no batch number on her hoof, and my Daisy Dreams and Rainbow Flash has their number on the opposite hoof of most others. So does Celestia, but her other leg is raised. Scootaloo has no number either, and i dunno, it seems random.

Yes, I think I saw 6 or so Fluttershys and 1 or 2 of the rest of the ponies (all sold out now), but there is a seller on ebay with a few Fluttershys though. Search Prototype and Fluttershy. She is a little on the expensive side for 1 pony though.

IF they are prototypes never to see the lights of store shelves, that sucks. Though they are beautiful and if they do pop up into stores, I'd wanna get them. (Even though it would be the main six ponies again. =_=;)

As far as the numbering on the feet go... has anyone thought of Asking Hasbro about the numbers?

I think you're right.  The 0s for 2010 release, the 11s for 2011 and so on.  I also thought that ponies belonging to the same set would also share the same number. For example the mini figures twilight, RD and PP from the advent calendar they all have the number 11581 underneath. Also my taobao FS wingless RD and Ralestia have the same number 12101. So who knows...

To add more silliness to this, my FS Fluttershy and FS Pinkie Pie are both 10661.
And my wave 4 bb RD is 20411, which I think is the highest number I have.

As far as the numbering on the feet go... has anyone thought of Asking Hasbro about the numbers?

I suggested that in the Fair Questions forum, but the only questions I was hearing them ask were ones Hasbro couldn't answer, like "Are we getting ___ ever?"and a question that boiled down to "Why are you cheaping out on cutie marks?"

If anyone wants to ask, please do.

Yeah, I think I have about 3 or so ponies like Cupcake, Dewdrop Dazzle and Lulu Luck all with the same number. To speculate, the number could be something about the date and the factory they were made in. Or maybe every pony made within a certain time frame got that number. Hmm I am going to think about this more.

Oh, foot numbers? That's been going on in ponies for as long as we've had ponies, far as I know! Like, even if the ponies were made years later, the mold number/year printed on their foot would stay the same! That's because they re-use the molds when they make new toys, so the number on the foot doesn't mean when the specific pony was made - it means when the mold was made. (That's why we have G3s that have "2003" on their foot, even if that toy was released in 2005!)

Someone already said this probably, oh well! XD Those are some awesome shots, thanks for sharing!! I can't wait to get my hands on these gorgeous girls!
