Ooof. Been so busy, waiting in a hotel for my apartment to be ready and the internet is horrible! There is the Clippership inn motel on bridge street, near the beverly border only a few minutes outside of downtown by car. Cheap and clean. Also the knights inn on route 1 in danvers, but route 1 is known for the horrid driving so beware
Um... endicott college in beverly has it's own inn that often has rooms up for grabs. Route 1 has a lot of cheaper hotels, motel 6, holiday inn, etc...

But for things right in the heart of salem, i'd say the salem inn or any one of it's branches. The hawthorne is expensive, but awesome if you want the experience (supposedly haunted). The waterfront hotel is the non-haunted equivalent.

It seems like several people are trepidacious about Salem in October. I would say then that maybe last weekend in September would be good? Or, like someone suggested, pushing it out to November.

Ok, let's get this going! I'm setting aside 11-3-12 as our get together date. This is the first Saturday in November. I was hoping for before Halloween, but I don't think it's going to be enough time.

This gives us 2 1/2 months to plan, organize and save money for ponies!!!

I'm going to get in touch with a few hotels in the area to see if we can rent a conference room to host the meet. Before we move forward, will this date work for people?

I would love to go to this but cant promise anything... are you all still thinking Salem? I live in Portland, Maine, but my mother lives on the border of NH and its only an hour and a half to Salem... it would be easy to get to. I'd be down, because I LOVE Salem and for those of you dragging your boyfriends along, they wouldn't be bored since I'd have mine too.

2 hour drive for a pony meet sounds like it'd be worth the trip!
